Chapter 39: Celeste's POV

I didn't know that this is the feeling of losing yourself in the woods. I am nowhere to be found.

I felt like, I was running for eternity with indefinite pathway. I've been losing my self, I've been enstrangled with the thoughts of who I am. What's worst is that I can see but I cannot remember and that made me worthless.

I can feel that everyone is hiding something from me and I should figure it out so I can put those into pieces, so I can also figure out who I was.

"I'm so tired of running..." I sat down beside the tall tree and suddenly a memories flashed into my mind. I remembered what happened earlier how I ended up in this situation.

"Delfin, I'm going to tell mom and dad to let me go outside for once." I said while facing the mirror. I can see Delfin's reflection behind me through the mirror.

I saw her deep breath, a sign of expressing her tiredness. "Delfin, you don't have to push yourself too hard." I said with a concerned voice.

She looked at me with a smile. "Thank you, madame, but it's my duty to serve your family as long as I live." Ani ni Delfin.

I sighed a deep breath. Delfin is one of my family's loyal servant and she's been honored by my father for taking care of me and for being true to our family.

I am afraid that I cannot trust Delfin...

"I'm going to ask mom and dad for their permissiom to let me go for once." I said.

I went to their chamber and they greeted me with a smile. However, I can't tell if those smiles were true.

"Quit it, I know what you are going to ask for." Dad said. I looked at him eye to eye and I did the same thing to my mother.

"Why won't you let me?" I asked curiously.

"We are protecting you, if anyone found out that Lazaro still exist– they will come to hunt our tribe and use our blood for their own sake." Mom said. I can see that she's tired but this is wrong. Locking me here won't fix everything, I can feel that I must step outside.

"I wan't to have my own life, you can't just lock me here forever." I said.

"You don't understand anything." Dad said. I can see his sharp gazed into my eyes as if it's about to explode in anger.

"I know how our blood works, I know how poor our economy is and I know why everyone want's our blood. However, hiding is not the solution. We need to seek for a help." I said.

"No! We are not going to seek for an alliance! We should step away, because it will just bring back the past and repeats itself. We won't let that to happen." Mom said.

"Our race is decreasing and soon we are about to be extinct." Mom added.

I faced them couragely and stared into their eyes sharply. "I the future heiress of the Lazaro will step out the woods and seek for a help. I will do everything to increase our economy and our population, I won't let the war affect our people. If I must fight, then I will fight."

I did not know where did I get those courage to face them and said those words. However, one thing is for sure I will be true to my words and I will prove them that I am worthy, I am not just a damsel in distress and I am a heiress of my clan.

I managed to get out of the Lazaro's barrier and now I am nowhere to find in the woods.

How will I manage to take the right path if I'm clueless?

The sky will soon get dark and I shall not let this weak body ruin my plan. I tried to stand up but my body has reached it limits. I need to circulate my blood to gain my energy.

Our blood became an essential to our race. It's powerful, it can produce energy that will bring extra resources for your ability to be enhanced. Our blood can also be use in scientific inventions, such as teleporting the weapons using our blood. Weapons that has marks using our blood can be summoned at an infinite distance as long as it was marked using our blood. Furthermore, our blood holds memories. We can transfuse our blood to anyone to gain their lost memories back as long as we shared the same memories in our past. Also, our blood can also makes vampire a mortal and more powerful, that's why they are after us. Lastly, our blood can bring back the dead to life. That's the most dangerous and prohibited procedure. According to the law of the vampires, fairies, witches, and elves. The Lazaro's blood is prohibited to use against the dead.

I sighed as the cold wind brushed against my skin. I guess I have to wait until I gain my energy back.

As the sky gets darker, an unknown shadow approached my visions so I guarded myself with a weapon. Luckily, I have my own weapon that was marked using my blood so I can summon it anytime.

"I can tell that you don't have any idea in the battlefield, but I'm impressed that you have your own weapon." He said while grinning.

"I also can tell that you are a vampire." I courageously said. "I know that you are not just a mere passer. You planned all of this, aren't you?" I said while grinning. My instincts became strong since Delfin taught me about the things that a heiress should possessed.

"Impressive! No one has ever tried to read–"

"I didn't read, I observe." I arrogantly said while I sharply greeted his red eye. "Just get to the point, what do you want from me?" I irritably said.

"I just want to give something that belongs to you." He said and threw a sealed bag with full of blood. I frowned in curiosity. "Someone is on his way, he will be the one to help you. Let's see what fate you two will have." He said and laughed as he turned into a bat and flew away.
