ZAISHA

I picked a bouquet of colourful tulips and paid the vendor. It has almost been 2 months since me and Reyaan started pretending to date. Today I am going to his office as he was occupied with some work and asked me to meet him there.

We are celebrating today because I finally got my driving licence. Yes. Me! I am now legally allowed to drive a car on a road. As a thankyou gift, I was taking Reyaan out for lunch as we both were busy for dinner.

I entered his office building which looked royal and elegant. The entire area was in black and white aesthetic, with ample light coming from the floor to ceiling windows. The sound of my footsteps was swallowed by the heavily carpeted floor.

I went towards the reception, "Hi! Can you please guide me towards Reyaan's office?" The receptionist asked me if I had an appointment, which I didn't. "No. but he is expecting me."

She gave a strange expression but did tell me to go to the top floor. I entered the lift and pressed the button for the 30th floor. When I exited the elevator a large room came in front of me, with cubicles arranged all around it.

I was met with confused and strange glances from the people looking at me which made me so self-conscious. I somehow managed to lift my feet and started walking towards the corner office but was startled when a man suddenly stopped me and stood in front of me.

"Excuse me ma'am! May I help you?" He asked politely.

"Um... I am here to see Reyaan." I answered.

"Sir is currently in a meeting." He answered.

"That's fine, I'll wait." I replied. Why is everyone still looking here?

"Are you sure? It might take a lot of time." He said to which I gave small smile and nodded. "You can sit in the waiting area." He pointed towards it and I went inside. The couch was comfortable enough and I settled on it. At least people weren't staring at me here.

I checked my watch. I am supposed to meet Aarohi for her wedding shopping as she is getting married next week. Technically, I am to meet her right now but I asked for some extra time and she reluctantly agreed.

I took out my phone from my bag and started scrolling to find some design ideas. Now I have finally decided on the theme and started working on my dresses, 3 of which are complete.

It's been an hour and still no Reyaan. Should I wait for some more time? Let's just wait for 15 more minutes otherwise I'll get really late.

Even after 15 minutes, Reyaan was still not done with his meeting so I went out to check how long it's going to take. I went towards his assistant and he said it might take another hour. There's no point in waiting here.

"Do you have a pen?" He gave me the pen, and I picked up a post-it from his desk. I wrote a message on it, 'Thanks for all the driving lessons. We will go to dinner some other time. PS- take a break. Z' I placed the note in between the flowers. "Can you give these to Reyaan please?"

He took the flowers and I left the office. Then I took a cab and went to the mall Aarohi was at.

REYAAN

When I got out of the conference room after the really long meeting, Kartik came into my cabin with a bouquet in his hands.

"Sir, a girl left these for you when you were in the meeting. She waited for you for quite a while." Kartik said.

I took the flowers from him and saw a note in it. 'Thanks for all the driving lessons. We will go to dinner some other time. PS- take a break. Z'
