Chapter 23

ZAISHA

The rest of the party went smoothly, without any problems. Honestly, I don't know what others were doing, my thoughts were occupied. For the entire party, Reyaan was by my side. By the end of the night, all of us were exhausted but the good thing is we didn't need to wake up early tomorrow. All of the festivities will start in the afternoon.

I entered my room and changed into my comfortable shorts and oversized sweater. I removed my makeup and was all set to sleep. As soon as I laid in my bed, memories from before flooded my mind and heat rushed to my cheeks. I can't sleep anymore.

I was tossing and turning in my bed when my phone buzzed. There was a message from Reyaan and a smile made its way on my face, automatically.

Reyaan:

Are you asleep?

Zaisha:

Nope! Can't sleep.

Reyaan:

Why? Thinking about me?

If you think avoiding him was difficult, his flirtatious side is something else. I couldn't help but blush. What am I supposed to reply?! Well, two can play this game.

Zaisha:

Why are you not sleeping?

Reyaan:

Open the door!

I looked around my room, confused. But still, I got out of bed and opened the door. Not so surprisingly, Reyaan was standing outside my room. I pulled him in and closed the door. "What are you doing here?", I asked.

"What do you think I am doing here! I missed you", he answered.

"We were together an hour ago", I replied.

"And yet it was not enough", he said that so simply, not knowing what effect his words have on me. I just smiled.

He started moving closer to me. I took a step back. "You need to go back to your room. I have embarrassed myself enough for today." I spoke. I don't want anyone to even enter my room by mistake.

"No one's going to come here. Everyone's tired and sleeping." He said as he took a step forward. In our back and forth, the back of my knees touched the bed and my back landed on the bed. Reyaan towered over me, supporting himself on his elbows. I took a few deep breaths.

Our faces were only an inch apart. If I moved only a little, our lips would touch. His intense gaze was on my lips and he bit his lips as if he is trying to restrain himself. The air crackled with anticipation and I licked my bottom lip.

"Reyaan?" I whispered.

'Hmm..." he grunted.

"I put my hand on his chest and said, "Can we take it a bit slow?" I don't want to jump with both feet so soon. I want to take my time and savor every moment with him.

He replied with a gorgeous smile on his face, "We can go as slow as you want." He moved back and sat up straight on the bed, his back touching the headrest.

"Hey, I didn't say we can't kiss." I said, almost frustrated. And as soon as I realized what I said, I bit my tongue and closed my eyes in embarrassment.

I heard his chuckle as he grabbed my hand and pulled me towards him on the bed. The next second I was on top of him, straddling his legs, my hands around his neck as he kissed me intensely. His one hand on my back and the other behind my neck. My lips parted as his tongue entered inside. I pulled on his hair and gently bit his lip as he groaned in response.
