The phone rang, and as soon as I saw Rose's name, a wave of urgency washed over me. Her voice was frantic, the news about Niharika jarring.
Without wasting a second, I grabbed my gear and called Atharva. The drive to the outskirts of the city was tense, the air in the car thick with unspoken fears and steely determination. The location Tranika had sent us led to an old, dilapidated house, barely standing amidst the dense foliage. We parked a distance away, taking in the scene. Guards were stationed at various points, their stances lazy but armed. There was no time for subtlety or negotiation. With a nod to Atharva, I drew my gun, my aim true as dispatched each guard with cold precision. The echoes of gunfire died down, leaving a heavy silence in their wake.
Pushing open the creaky door, we entered the house. The interior was dark and musty, the air thick with neglect. My eyes quickly adjusted, and I spotted Niharika tied to a chair in the center of the room. Her expression was one of utter boredom, as if being kidnapped was merely an
inconvenience rather than a threat to her life.Beside her stood the MLA, the same man Tranika had slapped, the sight of whom made my blood boil.
"S..sir, aap dono yaha kese?" he stammered, fear evident in his eyes.
Before I could speak, Atharva's voice cut through the tension. "How dare you, man? Do you even know what you did by entering Tranika's Rajvansh house and kidnapping her sister?"The MLA tried to respond, "That Tranika is a who..." but his sentence was cut short by the sound of my gun firing, the bullet embedding itself in his arm.
He cried out in pain, clutching his wound.
"Don't you dare finish that sentence," I said, my voice calm and menacing as I lowered myself into a nearby chair with the ease of a king. "She is my woman, and you dared to hurt her."
The MLA was visibly trembling now, well aware of who Atharva and I are. I am known for my ruthlessness. No one dared to look me in the eyes, let alone cross me."I'm sorry, s...sir," he whimpered.
"Hmm, get on your knees," I commanded, my voice barely a whisper but carrying the weight of absolute authority.
As the MLA dropped to his knees, Atharva moved to untie Niharika.
"Why do you always get into trouble, little one?" He asked, pulling her into a hug.
"You guys are so late. I'm starving," she replied, her nonchalant tone almost comical given the circumstances.
Atharva sighed, exasperated by her lack of seriousness. "Do you want to get traumatized watching all this or go outside?" he asked.
Niharika flipped her hair, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "I want to enjoy this.Kill him, yaar," she said, strolling over to me."Are you okay, little one?" I asked, checking her for injuries.
"Yesss, jijjuuu, but I'm bored. Do something interesting," she grinnedFuming with anger, I ordered my men to record the MLA's confession, compelling him to speak every damning word.
"I am sorry. I am a manwhore. I have destroyed so many lives. I am involved in human trafficking. I beg for mercy from Ms. Tranika Rajvansh and others for my behavior....."
