With a groan, the Shinazugawas start their busy day. As King Kyogo rests in the hospital, it leaves Prince Sanemi in charge. "I want five times more security. No ten. Also, the nannies, I want them to have basic training. We'll double the amount of bodyguards per person. Keep that bodyguard that was getting sent away. He'll stay, at least for now. I want this place secured at all times. I don't even want a fly coming in here. You hear me!?" His servant trembly wrote on his notepads. "Of course, Your Highness. Do you wish to cancel the Royal Banquet in a couple of months?" Sanemi stopped in his tracks, placing a finger on his chin. "I'll see about that."

After security found a broken lock from the garden, the following day, the Shinazugawas were able to return back to the palace. "You have all the locks and cameras put in?" Sanemi double-checked on the ride back. "Yes sir. We've made sure everything is in top shape."

꒰ - Four days after the attack - ꒱

"Prince Sanemi, these are the new guards." Rows of men filled the room, bowing as the two entered. "They all passed the exam at your standards. We've already had a background check on all of them. The first ten are the ones who did the best, as you said, the personal bodyguards." With a nod, they stand from their bows.

"Five of them will be with Sumi, Tekio, Hiroshi, Shuya, and Koto. They hardly separate, so it should work. Each guard will be assigned a kid. With Genya, since he currently has one, he'll get two more. Give two to King Kyogo. He insists that he doesn't need more. To be honest, his team did a fair job, but it won't hurt to add more." With every order, he separated the ten into groups. "Sir, that leaves one more." The prince looks up to find a young man, about the same height as him, with black hair tied into a low ponytail. "What are we missing?"

"Your personal bodyguard, your highness." With a sigh, Sanemi stepped closer to the new guard. "Guess I don't have another choice." Walking away, he gave one more order. "The other forty will be divided into night guards and security. Give them a basic overview of what's expected here and a short tour." With the prince gone, they began their tour. "After the tour, we'll lead you to your department so they can explain your orders."

Once the personal bodyguards met the leader of their department, they were given an overall schedule and explanation of the princes and princesses. "Sanemi bodyguards?" Stepping out from the line, he was given his needs. "Only one? God, he never listens...Anyways that's your uniform, weapons, and schedule. His bodyguards never last longer than a month, so let's hope it's different this time. Tomioka Giyuu, we appreciate you for joining." Mumbling the first part, he gives Tomioka a firm handshake before moving on to the next. (Calm down bro he's not going into war 😒)

Tomioka Giyuu POV

The long, quiet hallways feel like a maze. I think I've passed this painting five times already. I never expected to be Prince Sanemi's personal bodyguard. It seemed, though, as he didn't want one. Hopefully I can stay longer than a month. According to the newspaper, he's kind, stands up for what's right, and a family guy. (Ok Peter Griffin 🤨) "Hello!" The voice caught me from surprise. "Are you new?" A young boy stands in front with a warm smile. "Oh, yes, I am. I'm looking for the guard quarters." He's wearing the same uniform I was handed. He seems too young though... "Ah! I'll show you! I'm Kamado Tanjiro, Prince Genya's personal bodyguard! Who did you get?" Following behind the boy, giving him a small answer. "Tomioka Giyuu. Prince Sanemi."

With the last part, he slows down and looks back. "Guess we won't be seeing each other often. I was supposed to go back to the Kocho Family after I was banned from being close to Prince Sanemi." Hm, he talks a lot. Wait- banned!? "At first, I was just banned from talking to him because I didn't respect him, but after a fight, I was going to go back. It's a shame I was excited to see my friends and sister. But I also just started to become friends with Prince Genya." Not showing respect to royals is surely bold. "A fight?" Looks like I was going into circles after Kamado took a left to a staircase. "Yes, not physically. Almost if Genya didn't stop him. I was leaving this week, but after the attack, I'm staying a bit longer." He talks so fast. It's hard to keep up. I wonder what the fight was about. "How long have you been here?" He looks up the same smile engraved into his face. "Six months!" He's been here for this long and only now becoming friends with the prince. Who knows how long it'll take me.

"Well here we are! Pick out an empty bed. I'll explain more later on! If you have any questions, I'm here!" With a wave, he left me staring into the large wooden door. After finding a plain bottom bunk, I laid my things down and picked up my uniform. Entering the large shared shower room, I changed into the formal uniform. I make sure the guns and other weapons are hidden and secured. I fixed up my hair, though it didn't make such a change.

"Time to meet the prince."
