I have survived so many fires
I can no longer tell if I am alive
or if I am still burning.

『】TOVIELLA『】

The cold air continuously attacked my face from all sides. Left, right and centre, pricking at my skin like the cool steel of a blade, gentle at first, but sharp once it penetrated.

Or maybe I was just trying to excuse the fact that I didn't understand anything from the lesson that was being taught.

The above was just an excuse madeup for the main excuse which was…

I wasn't listening.

Yes, I wasn't.

I mean, how could I when every single word coming out from the teacher's mouth sounded like gibberish in my ears, absolute nonsense!

At a point, I started to think that she(the teacher) had magically switched to another language since the words and sentences all sounded foreign to me.

To me, her mouth was just opening, closing, then opening again only to continue firing jumbled words as though she was talking with hot food in her mouth.

Or maybe I wasn't listening and I wasn't trying to listen either.

After I'd made a complete fool of myself this morning, how would I be able to listen?

Tell me, how?!

At first, everything was going well, him conversing with Vanilla and paying little to no attention to me…

Until it wasn't.

One word was all it took.

Just one simple and no harm intended  words.

Except it did the opposite.

He had asked me a simple 'Whatsup?' And a 'Fine' would've been just the perfect answer but instead, I just stood there, beside Vanilla and in front of him gawking like an ancient ape, with parted lips that failed to produce a single word.

Not even a letter.

I had become a dullard at that moment. My brain couldn't eject any form of information or anything at all. It was as if a vaccum cleaner had sucked out every single letter or word I knew, leaving emptiness and only emptiness.
