It was safe to say that Jamal and I were friends now. The ride to my house last week had created a sense of familiarity between us that I didn't feel as nervous as I expected when I messaged him on Whatsapp to thank him again for dropping me off and ask if he had got home safely.
Since then, we had started chatting randomly and never ran out of subjects to discuss. The fluidity of our conversations often amazed me because I didn't bond and get comfortable with acquaintances that easily. I guess it couldn't be helped as he already, had an affable personality and a pleasant honesty. He knew my thoughts on diverse things about life before I even made it known to him, and even thought they didn't quite align with his, he didn't judge.
We had some things in common too; both our favourite colour being gray, our immense love for music, our dislike for Chemistry, the fact that we hated the concept of syringes and blood, yet were both pursuing medical-related courses.
The impeccably-mannered and polished Adonis, also had a great sense of humour that would make me giggle endlessly like a little kid and for a while, I would feel light and cheery, and the world and it's problems wouldn't matter, not even being ignored by Soma for a whole week.
