Armed with two pizzas, Nightingale entered a small tourist center by the waterfront.

A man in a suit, Ianto, stepped through the beaded curtain at the back.

"Oh, hiya. Sorry, I'm late. Someone ordered pizza," Nightingale claimed.

"Who's it for?" Ianto questioned.

"Torchwood," Nightingale flinched as the door she entered through closed behind her.

Ianto pressed a button, and part of the wall swung open.

Nightingale looked surprised.

"Don't keep them waiting," Ianto said.

Nightingale goes to the doorway and glances back at Ianto.

Ianto inclined his head in encouragement.

Nightingale walked cautiously down an ill-lit brick passageway. A door opened at one end of the corridor. She walked towards it and entered a lift. Nightingale went down several stories. She exited the lift and went through a large cog-shaped door ahead of her. The cog door and some bars slid shut behind Nightingale. She glanced at them and then noticed a cylindrical container in which a hand was held in pale blue bubbling liquid.

The Torchwood members were working at their stations.

A woman, Suzie, was welding something.

Jack walked along an upper catwalk.

Suzie took off her welder's helmet.

Jack came down and went into his office.

Nightingale walked past Tosh, working on four computer screens at once.

Tosh giggled, and Owen laughed.

"I can't do this. I'm sorry. I'm rubbish. I give up," Owen laughed.

"He set me off," Tosh snitched.

"Well, that lasted naught point two seconds," Suzie calculated.

"Hmm. She's actually carrying pizza," Owen noted.

"Come on. She was gonna say here's your pizza, and I was going to say, how much?" Jack explained, "And she says, oh, whatever, twenty quid, and I say, no, I don't have any money. I was working on a punchline. I'd have got there. But it would've been good,"

"There's your pizza. I think I'd better go," Nightingale proclaimed as she turned to leave, but Jack blocked her exit

"I think we've gone past that stage,"

Nightingale backed up in fright and turned to run, but Jack was quick to grab her arm, causing her to gasp in shock.

Jack smiled as he looked at a blonde, he was wearing a WWII uniform "Captain Jack Harkness, One Three Three Squadron, Royal Air Force. American volunteer,"

Jack was sitting astride a bomb. "The bomb's already commenced detonation. I've put it in stasis, but it won't last long,"

***

Jack watched as the blonde and another male hugged. He looked up at a man wearing a leather jacket. "Aw, sweet, look at these two. How come I never get any of that?"

"Buy me a drink first," the leather jacket man said.

"You're such hard work,"

"But worth it,"

Jack produced a small hand weapon from somewhere behind while naked.
