"Owen Harper, Nightingale." Jack introduced them once they came back into the hub.

"Doctor Owen Harper, thank you," Owen corrected.

"Toshiko Sato, computer genius." Jack continued, "Suzie Costello, she's second in command. And this is Ianto Jones. Ianto cleans up after us and gets us everywhere on time,"

"I try my best," Ianto said bashfully.

"And he looks good in a suit," Jack winked.

"Careful. That's harassment, sir,"

"Okay. Tosh, finish that calibration tomorrow morning. Owen, first thing, get a hold of Chandler and Bell cos I think they're lying. Ianto, if he needs backup, then you'd better be on standby. Suzie, I know it's a pain in the ass, but I need the costing on the glove research." Jack turned back to Nightingale. "And as for you, you're coming with me. This way. Stand on here. Come on, next to me," He held out his hand to Nightingale, helping her step onto the platform, and then put his arm around her.

Jack and Nightingale stood on a large square granite slab in front of the Water Tower.

"Good night!" Tosh called out.

"Later!" Owen said.

"Now, you came in through the front door. Let's take the scenic route," Jack said, pressing a couple of buttons on his wrist bracer. Up they went.

Nightingale grabbed Jack's arm to steady herself.

Jack and Nightingale stood on the platform, which now appeared to be a normal paving slab. They were in clear view of the passing pedestrians.

"Perception filter." Nightingale nodded. "Nice trick...but how'd you manage it?"

"No idea. We know how to use it, not how it happens," Jack admitted.

"If I were to guess, I would say it was once a dimensionally transcendental chameleon circuit placed right on this spot which welded its perception properties to a spacio-temporal rift,"

Jack laughed, shaking his head. "You really are his sister,"

"Just realizing that now, are you?" Nightingale teased.

"He never mentioned you..."

Nightingale smiled painfully. "The feeling's mutual. All I remember about him is that TARDIS of his and how he dropped me off on Asgard, and that's the last I heard from him. Could only assume he died,"

"Asgard? As in Thor, Odin, and Loki?"

Nightingale felt a pang through her heart at the mention of her lost love. "The one and only,"

"Holy shit," Jack laughed. "How'd you get to Cardiff?"

"You know how. I was hoping to get close to where my brother was and reunite...but I guess it took me to his last known Earth location,"

"Lucky me, I guess,"

"Lucky you," Nightingale looked up and noticed she was at her apartment. "You were stalking me,"

"We tend to keep an eye on those who show promise,"

"Promise for what?"

"Joining Torchwood,"

"Look...Jack. I'm just here to find my brother,"

"And after that?"

Nightingale shrugged.

"Just think about it." Jack handed Nightingale his number. "A girl with your talent...could make this job much easier. And besides, I'm looking for your brother too,"

"I'll think about it," Nightingale said.
