“Good morning Lottie,” mum said to me in her dressing gown and slippers and with her hair looking like she had just gotten out of bed.
“Morning” I said in a whiney voice as a plodded down the stairs.
“We are going to grans for lunch on Sunday Lottie”
“Arrh… Mum do I have to come?”
“Yes and don’t whine like a 3 year old!”
“But she hates me.”
“You’re coming.”
My gran also thinks I'm a freak, she has all my life. She won’t not even look at me let alone talk to me. But I'm used to it though.
I went into a vision and it was the same one again. It started the same way, but was longer now, after the orange and the yellow I saw flashing lights and lots of things spinning around.
I came out of the vision and fainted on the kitchen floor. I woke up in my bed with my Mum next to me.
“Are you alright honey?” Mum gently said.
“What happened?” I asked with a confused face.
“You fainted on the kitchen floor and hit your head, but you are ok now!”
“Oh right! Yeah I remember.”
“Jay is at college and Dad’s at work. I said I would stay home for a bit until you wake up.”
I felt the slightest bit of love ……
“But since you’re awake now, I'm going back to work”
…….And then it was gone.
Mum went to work and I was left at home, which was a good thing because I liked to be on my own sometimes, apart from when I'm with Max of course. The phone rang and it was Max.
“Hello Lottie.”
“Hey Max.”
“Are you ok? You’re not at college.”
“Yeah, I had a vision and then I fainted on the kitchen floor and banged my head.”
“Oh well you should be glad you’re not here, Elisha is in a very bad mood….”
I'm not sure if he stopped talking or if it was because I had another vision because I could not hear anything. It was the same thing again! I was really getting worried as to what would happen? What was the orange splash all about and why was I crying?
“Lottie?” Max said through the phone.
“Sorry vision again.”
“Are you alright you sound worried”, said Max.
“Yeah I'm fine.”
“Ok, well… You get some sleep now, bye.”
“Bye.”
I slept for an hour and then I went downstairs to bake a cake for Max’s birthday tomorrow.
It was Max’s birthday so I went to his house with a cake, which I had made for him and a present. I decided to put the vision at the back of my mind and just focus on Max’s birthday.
“Hello”, Max said as he opened the door.
“Happy birthday!” I congratulated him.
Max let me in and we sat down on the sofa.
“Here’s your present” I said as I gave Max a box wrapped in blue paper.
“Oh Lottie, I didn’t want you spending all your money!”
“Oh, its nothing really…”
“Still…”
He opened his present .
“Lottie….”
It was a blue shirt and I was hoping he would like it
“I love it thanks and it’s my size too”, Max thanked me.
I put the candles on his cake and sang happy birthday to him. He started laughing and blew them out.
“Why don’t you have a piece” I asked him
“Ok”
He cut the cake and took a bite...
“HOT… HAA… HOT!” Max screamed.
By now I was in hysterical, laughing because I had put a chilli in his cake.
“There’s a chilli in this cake”, Max shouted as he ran to the sink in the kitchen.
“I know I baked it!” I told him with a cheeky grin.
“Lottie! That’s not funny, you cheeky girl.”
Max picked up a big slice of cake and threw it at my face.
“That was a good shot!” He laughed to himself.
So I did the same and it landed on his chest. We were running round the house chasing each other. We run out of cake so Max started tickling me. I was screaming with laughter because I was really ticklish. I managed to get up and run away. I locked myself in the kitchen and got a cup of ice cold water, unlocked the door and splashed it right on his face! Max picked me up and carried me in his arms and plonked me on the sofa then started to tickle me and this time we were both laughing so hard and I couldn’t breathe!
“Stop… Ahh… Stop!” I begged Max.
“Never!” he replied.
I grabbed one of the pillows on the sofa and started hitting him with it. The pillow burst and there were feathers everywhere, this still didn’t stop him, he continued to tickle me! I had not had this much fun in all my life.
In those few minutes I realised I felt different when I was around Max. I felt happy. Then I understood the shiver of excitement, the reason as to why I was always around him and only spoke to him all the time. Did I like Max?
