At the home of the Crimson Demons, a lone girl could be seen strolling down the main road. But even as she passed by her fellow clansman, it was as though she were invisible to them.
She didn't give it too much thought, even if it was a little lonely. Because that's just how things have always been around here.
'Oh, that's Funifura and Dodonko!'
The girl thought as she caught sight of her old classmates. They were both wearing the official school uniform for the Crimson Demons which consisted of a pink shirt and dress that went to their mid-thighs, along with a black knee-length cloak draped over their shoulders.
While they weren't close enough to be considered friends, she had bought them lunch on numerous occasions in the past. Surely they'd like to speak to an acquaintance.
Funifura and Dodonko walked past the fidgeting girl without so much as a glance.
"How cruel! Don't you want to catch up with an old classmate!?"
"Oh, Yunyun. We didn't see you there."
"Yeah, when did you learn how to use the Invisibility spell?"
Yunyun berated her old classmates with teary eyes as they feigned ignorance while spouting obvious lies.
"I don't even have the Invisibility spell... A-anyways, I came home to see my father but he isn't home..."
The shy mage stuttered while looking down at the ground.
Funifura and Dodonko glanced at each other before smiling mischievously.
"Come to think of it, Yunyun. We've been hearing strange rumors that you eloped with a boy with a questionable reputation."
"Yeah, your father was devastated when he found out. I heard he went out and destroyed a Demon King Army platoon that was passing by to ease the pain in his heart of losing his only daughter to such a despicable man."
The two said with mock concern in their voices while covering the smiles behind their hands.
"Eh!? My father did what!? Also, there are still such rumors about Naruto-san!?"
Yunyun exclaimed with wide eyes, causing the two to step back in surprise at her outburst. She thought all of the bad rumors surrounding Naruto had been resolved... What had her father heard? Now she really needed to find him.
"T-that's right! There's also a rumor going around the village of a prophecy that involves the daughter of the village chief and a player that resides in the Town of Beginners."
Funifura quickly added. They were aiming to get a rise out of the normally timid mage, but this reaction was quite strong. Did they strike a nerve?
"A prophecy...? Surrounding Naruto-san and me?"
Yunyun whispered to herself in disbelief. She was well aware of the rumors that used to follow Naruto like a plague, but she thought they'd all gone away after the trial was resolved. To think those rumors made it all the way to the Crimson Demon Village.
"Ah, but those rumors can't possibly be true. This is Yunyun we're talking about."
Dodonko suddenly chimed in with a snort.
"Right? I mean, it's Yunyun we're talking about, who can't even make a proper introduction without blushing. There's no way she eloped with a boy."
Funifura chortled and the two girls started laughing.
But Yunyun was too absorbed in her thoughts to pay attention to their antics.
What did that prophecy mean by the fate of the village? Was it about a fateful encounter like in her stories!? No, that couldn't be true. After all, she was cheering on Wiz.
