A/N: Hello my lovelies! I apologize for the one shot I uploaded, but I was watching this show and someone got stuck on a railroad track and got hit by the train, so I felt the need to make it a story. ANYWAY, back to Scomiche cuteness. Prepare to go "awwww" and "omg Mitch" several times throughout this chapter.
Chapter 8
I'd thought that maybe apologizing would make Scott not mad at me anymore. That's why I ended up at his doorstep on Saturday.
He opened the door and just stared at me.
"Um, hey..." I greeted awkwardly.
He crossed his arms and leaned against the doorframe, raising his eyebrows, signaling for me to continue.
"About yesterday...I was selfish, and stupid," I assured him.
"I know," he replied.
I rolled my eyes, "I came to apologize. I am so sorry for how I acted," I apologized genuinely.
He nodded, "I accept your apology," he stated before turning to vanish back into his house and close the door.
"Wait! That's it?" I asked.
He turned back towards me, "What else is there?" He countered.
"Uh, I don't know. Can I come in?" I inquired.
"Last I checked, we weren't friends. Besides, I'm not right for you anyway," he retorted, "See you in school," he added before disappearing back into his house and closing the door.
I sighed in defeat.
Ok, apologizing clearly wasn't what he wanted. I had to think. What would make him forgive me? Well, he accepted my apology. That isn't the same as forgiving someone. Is it?
Ugh, boys were so complicated.
I considered calling Kirstie again, but I felt like I was bothering her with my guy issues. I had to try to do something on my own for once.
When I returned home, my parents cornered me before I could go back up to my room.
"Mitch, you're worrying us," Mom stated bluntly.
"What's wrong?" Dad inquired.
"It's just...stupid boy drama," I replied.
"Aw, my baby is having his first boy drama," Mom exclaimed excitedly.
"Why do you sound excited about that?" I inquired, narrowing my eyes at her.
"Because, everyone goes through it in high school, it's a part of growing up," Mom explained.
"But it's so frustrating," I complained.
"The more frustrating it is, the more you care. If you're willing to put forth the effort to get through it, then it will all be worth it in the end, trust me," Dad explained.
I sighed, "Thanks, I'm gonna mope around like a moody teenager," I stated before slipping past them and heading upstairs.
"Let us know if you need anything," Mom called back.
I smiled at them before heading into my room and closing the door. I sighed before collapsing on my bed.
He confessed his feelings for me and told me what he liked about me, and that's why he wanted to kiss me. But it upset him that I had different intentions.
How was I supposed to fix that?
I wish it was something obvious.
I laid there for a few minutes, brainstorming.
