The Pegasus

Chapter four

I woke up and rubbed my eyes. I felt relaxed, like I didn't have to worry about anything.

The pegasus looked at me and streched his wings, which I had been sleeping under.

"You arrived." he stated licking my cheek.

"Where are the others?" I asked looking around.

"They are with their pegasi. We are going to meet them this evening at the moonstone."

"ok." I said content to just sit there.

I was going to go to sleep when I realised I was with a pegasus and there were so many questions to ask.

"um.. What is your name?" I began with.

"No one gave me a name in the rush of getting me 'here' " he said, gesturing around him. "So, I guess you name me"

I thought silently for a name, it was actually quite hard!

"Ebony. Your coat is as black as the night."

"Excellent. I like it!" he said flicking his tail.

"Why are we bonded? Why are we even here? Where is here?" I asked

"we are in Elonia, it means 'kingdom of two nations' in our acient laguage.

Humans and Pegasi lived together equally. They bonded to their bondmate at the age of fourteen.

The royalty had special powers. When they were bonded, both human and pegasus gained control of an element.

One day a Human from your world managed to make it here using dark magic. He stole the pegasi and either experimented on them or sold them to others who wanted to do the same thing.

It didn't take him long to work out that some had powers. So one by one he stole them, we were defencless, a weaponless nation.

We knew no evil beforehand.

Eventually the only royalty left was your mother-"

"Wait, Hold on, you mean I'm adopted? My mum is at home isn't she?" I interupted.

"No, your mother was our Queen"

I was speechless.

Ebony continued with his story.

"Your mother hid you and your sisters, Ruby and Crystal in the Human world and-"

"Wait, they are my sisters now? This is-"

"Let me finished my story!" Ebony growled.

"Ok" i replied meekly.

"She hid you in the human world and led us to this meadow. She used all of her energy to create a forcefield surruonding it so we were safe until you came to us. Alas, it used up all of her energy and caused her and her pegasus to perish." He finished, trying not to get emotional.

"So we are princesses?" I asked.

"Yes , it is your job to unite our kingdom and block off access to this man, who is still stealing pegasi, although, at a slower rate."

"Ok! So is it time to go to the moonrock?"

"yes"

Ebony got up stretched his wings and lowered one, signalling for me to climb onto his back.

"Are you sure?" I asked, hesitantly stroking his back.

"Yes" he said simply.

I tryed to get on 'gracefully' but it was far from it. When I was finally settled on his back, my knees tucked into his wings, he spread them and got ready for take-off.

He began to gallop down the meadow and with a soft 'tug' he was in the air. I grasped his mane tightly and Ebony laughed at me.

"Relax, our bondmagic wont let you fall"

"Ok" I said, loosening my grip a little.

The hills and the soft green grasses lulled me to sleep ince more. I guess you could call what I was experiencing 'Jet Lag' or something like that, after all, I HAD travelled to a whole other world.

I woke up as Ebony landed on the ground, the soft thud caused me to take in my surroundings.

A little while off a largish white rock, gloeing in a hue of colours was sticking out of the grass.

Two pegasi were stanfing near it, grazing. One was a dazzling white, while the other was a gleaming, fiery red.

But the sight that excited me the most was the two girls, still in their pajamas, sitting in the grass.

"Ruby! Crystal!" I screamed running towards them.

"Gem!" they both cried in unison as we joined together into a hug.

We sat together for a while until we realised that our pegasi were looking at us pointedly.

"Um.. Introductions!" I cried, pulling my friends to their feet.

We ran to the pegasi and stood with our own.

"This is cinder, and I am Ruby" Ruby explained, first pointing to her pegasus, then herself.

"My name is Gem and my pegasus's name is Ebony" I said, while stroking Ebony's mane.

"And I'm Crystal and this is mystic" Crystal said.

The intros were mainly for us three because the pegasi already knew each other and us.

"All of us need to fully bond, that is why we met at the moonrock tonight" mystic said.

"Ok, so how do we do that?" I asked

"We must recite the ancient spell while touching the moonrock."
