Nanami woke up to a non-stop phone call. Disoriented, she grabbed her phone.

"Hello?"

"That asshole broke up with Nana!" Junko's voice was frantic.

Nanami sighed, getting ready to see Junko and Nana.

"Morning, Nobu," she said groggily, heading to the sink for a glass of water.

Nobu blushed, looking away as she was barely dressed. "Morning, Nanami."

"Oh, I heard about your first gig! How exciting!" She took her cup and walked over to him. Nobu gulped, trying to keep his eyes on her face.

"Yeah, it's at Blue Beetle. You're coming to see me, right? I'll be amazing!"

"Yes, of course! I wouldn't miss it for the world. Funny enough, I was meant to be at Blue Beetle on that day anyway!"

"Really? That's great!"

After talking for a bit, Nanami went to get ready.

Ding Dong.

Ding Dong.

Ding Dong.

"I think we heard you the first time, Junko. Calm down," Nanami said, trying to soothe her frantic friend.

"But what if she slit her wrists? What if she drowned herself?" Junko was beside herself with worry.

"Is it worth it for a boy?" Nanami asked, confused.

"This is Nana we're talking about."

The door opened, revealing Nana in her pyjamas, safe and sound.

"You're still alive!" Junko hugged her tightly.

"Junko? Nanami?" Nana asked, surprised.

Nanami smiled. "Hey, Hachi."

The three sat down at the wooden desk. "How are you feeling, Hachi?" Nanami asked.

"I don't feel great, but I'm glad I had Nana with me last night, or else I would've thrown myself into a river." She half-joked with a laugh, but Nanami could see she wasn't entirely joking.

"Hachi, is Shoji really the man you would be happy dying for?" Nanami asked gently.

"No, I don't want him anymore. I just hate him for what he did."

Nanami nodded in understanding. "Do you want them to break up?"

"I... I don't know what I want."

"I want them to break up. They don't deserve to be happy," Junko said, her voice firm. "That idiot, if he knew he couldn't keep his promise with Nana, he should have let her go."

"Hachi, you know it's okay to hate him. You wouldn't be a bad person. You can even dream of stabbing him. Actually, if you stab him, I'll help you hide from the police."

"Stop giving her bad advice!" Junko scolded, but Hachi laughed.

"Thank you. It means a lot to me. I was afraid I was being unreasonable."

"What's wrong with being unreasonable?" Nanami countered. "It's your life. If you want to be unreasonable, it shouldn't matter to anyone. You deserve to put yourself first."

"Thank you, Nanami. But I'm afraid this time it's karma..."

"What do you mean?"

Nana began to tell her story of dating a married man.

Nanami was shocked. "Hachi, you dated a paedophile. You were a victim. What does a 16-year-old know at that age? When I was 16, I drank bleach by accident!"
