Catch Flights Not Feelings

Me Sam and Kyra just landed in London Heathrow. I still didn't know how to feel, I was numb and I felt bad. But I was doing this for Kacie and no one else right now. We go in Taylor's car as she gave me the keys and we drove to the team hotel. We get to the hotel and the girls all hug us and then we do some training before heading to bed, the jet lag was bad.

I get woken up to my alarm, which was not a good way for me. I always manage to wake up before my alarm, so I was already in a bad mood. I go to breakfast and see I didn't even have a chair, I presumed Kyra was playing some stupid joke so I end up sitting with Sam. I'm silent as I eat my cornflakes. I go up to my room and change into the kit and we train for most of the day. I message Leah a good luck text as she plays Sweden tonight in Stockholm.

She replies with a thank you and then we go downstairs and eat dinner. We all sit in the relaxation room and watch England vs Sweden, we watch as England mostly dominate but Sweden still try. England end up with a 2-0 victory over Sweden. Tony walks in and he goes "I've just been informed that we are now a part of the Arnold Clark cup. So we will play Sweden and Belgium as well this break, all taking place in Wembley"
"So we get to go for silverware?" Steph asks
"Yes" he replies
"So England get back from Sweden tomorrow morning, we play Sweden Friday night, Belgium Sunday and then England on Tuesday" he says
We all nod and head up to our rooms. I lie on the bed and there's a knock I don't answer it, the door opens. "Hey" Kyra says.
"Hi" I say
"You didn't seem good today? Wanna talk about it?" She asks
I shake my head. "Is it about Kace?" She asks.
I nod my head and break into tears, she rushes next to me and hugs me,

"I miss her ky" I cry
"We all do" she says
"I loved her and I still do, but now she's genuinely gone. This morning, I wasn't in the mood. I had went to call her to see if she was okay and then was reminded she no longer is alive" I cry out
"I'm sorry" Kyra says and holds me tight.
My phone vibrates. "Who's that?" Kyra asks. I shrug. "Doesn't matter" I say
She gets my phone and see a FaceTime from Leah. She answers it. "Hey Leah" Kyra says and stands up taking my phone. "Kyra please, give that back now!" I say sternly but also sadly.
"Kyra just give it back" Leah says
"Okay" Kyra says, handing me my phone and walking out. "She's such a twat" I say
"What did she do!" Leah asks
"Nothing, I just haven't been in a good mood today. And she came to check up on me and she was actually caring until you called and she got distracted" I say
"Wanna talk about it?" Leah asks me.
"Nah" I say
"You had a good game" I tell her
"You watched it?" She asks
"We all did, we had to know how you play right!" I say
"Yeah" she says and smiles
"It's gonna be hard going against you" she says
"Why you haven't even seen me play? Plus I'm pretty sure we've been against each other before" I say
"We have?" She asks
"Yes, like 2 years ago" I say
"Oh" she says
"Trust me, I look up to Sam. But that doesn't mean I didn't care about other teams, I knew England were a good side so I did my research before we played you" I say
Sam walks in and she says "I can-"
"Nah it's fine" I say
She sits on my bed and I say to Leah. "When's your flight?"
"Like tonight but it's late, and the rate Keira and Georgia are packing we won't be back for the next game" she says making me laugh
"So you have to share rooms?" I ask
"Yeah, unfortunately I got G" she says laughing
"Who's your roommate?" She asks me
"Oh we don't have roommates we all got our own rooms" I say
"Fancy" Leah says
"No, we are just better" Sam says making me and Leah laugh. "We will see on Tuesday, who will be the one to lift the trophy?" I say
"What trophy?" Leah asks
"Arnold Clark cup!" I state
"We are playing against you for that" Leah asks
"Yeah, you not been told" Sam asks
"No" she says
"Maybe ask Sarina, to you know double check" Sam says
Leah ends the call.

"You good?" Sam asks me
"Yeah" I say
"Don't cover it, that's not good. India I know you too well for you to do that. Please speak to me" she says. Sam was the only one allowed to call me India. It's a sorta thing that just happened when I first got called up.
