Nine

I get to the training ground the next day, I see Leah already there, she was sat down on the sofas on her phone. I walk past her jingling the keys round my finger as I walk. I go into the changing rooms Kyra was in there, crying. "Hey ky you good?" I ask. She runs out. I follow her and say "Kyra!"

She immediately stops right where Leah was. "Why didn't you tell me!" She says. "Tell you what?" I ask. "About you and Leah!" She says. I sigh and say "Kyra I was gonna-"
"No! I'd just spread it right?" She says and walks off. "Fuck me" I whisper and kick the bin, going back into the changing rooms. I get ready and go into the gym doing a session by myself. I go into the changing rooms and the girls were all done training. "Indiana we need words!" I hear a harsh voice. I see Jonas, I stand up and see as everyone watches me walk towards him. We go into his office and I sit down.

"You didn't show at training" he says
"I did a gym session"i say
"That's not what we asked for!" He shouts
"We ask for hard work! And determination! Not doing your own thing!" He screams
I'm taken aback, he sounds like my dad. "You're just not good enough!" He then says.
I feel a tear fall down my face, "unfortunately you're just not good enough to be here! To be an arsenal player! And I don't care if you're having a hard time! You need to collect your stuff!" He shouts.

I walk out and see the Aussies sat on the sofa. They all stare at me, I walk into the changing rooms and see as everyone turns to me. I go over to my locker and start putting everything into my bag. "Where you going?" Kim asks. "I'm-" I say and feel a tear. I wipe my face and say "being kicked out"
I grab my bag and walk out. Kyra says my name but I keep going. I hear Jonas say my name, I stop in my tracks and turn round, "what?" I say quietly
All the girls come into the corridor. "Look! I asked you for some hard fucking work! And you couldn't even give it to me! I ask for determination! I asked for the simple basics of kicking a ball! And you cannot even do that!" He screams.
I look down to the floor as he verbally abuses me.

"I wanted you to come in here and prove to all the girls what you're worth! But the only thing you're worth is money for a man to buy!" He screams. I let out a slight laugh. "You know what's ironic Jonas, your no better!" I say
"But I'm glad to be getting out of here. Because the moment I stepped into this place you had it out for me. And honestly Jonas, fuck you." I state

I see Kim making her way to the front of the girls and coming towards Jonas. "Think about it she's one of the best players!" I hear Kim whisper. "Just leave it Kim, I appreciate you trying to help but I don't want to play for a club he runs!" I state

"See you all" I say and walk out. I get in my car and see all the girls staring out the windows. I get back out of my car and go inside, there was one last thing I needed to do. I go into the changing room, grabbing Leah's hand. "I love you too Leah, I'm so sorry I've been off with you" I say and she smiles. She kisses me and I say "I'm sorry"
"Hey it's okay, I'll be here for you. He's a twat okay" she says and I pull her in for another kiss. "Come round tonight okay?" I say she nods and I walk back out. "So it is Leah ey?" Kyra asks. I shrug and say "maybe"

I get to my car and Jonas comes out "Indiana, I've been incredibly harsh on you. I'm sorry"
"If you mean it quit your job" I state
"I'll be back tomorrow, if you fully meant it you won't be here!" I say
He nods understanding.

I get in my car and drive home.

Later on, Leah turns up and we cuddle on my sofa whilst watching the notebook. She laughs at something on her phone, "what?" I ask
"Nothing, just-" she says.
"What?" I ask staring at her. "I told my mam about me talking to a girl and she immediately wants to meet you" Leah says.
"Maybe make it official then I'll think about the offer" I say and turn my head back to the tv.
Her arms go round my neck and we end up falling asleep.
