Ten

I was starting on the bench, I knew I would be it was my debut. But Leah was starting and I was happy for her. As the game went on arsenal dominated even though Durham did create some chances we went into half time winning 3-0. I get told to get myself ready as I was switching with Kim who had hurt her ankle and for precaution needed to stay off. I get myself ready and then I walk out with Leah. I get subbed on and I smile, the debut has officially started.

During the second half we make some chances, some that work and some that don't. Even though I didn't score,i still gave Beth an assist. The game ends and we shake hands with everyone and then stand in a huddle and listen to Kelly praising us for winning 5-0. I see as the Durham girls all go over to the fans taking photos and thanking them for coming. All the girls clap and we all break into small groups walking round the pitch.

I walk with Kyra and we see Mollie. I hug her and so does Kyra, we speak about growing up and where we all grew distant. I laugh as mollie tells me about her ex girlfriend and her football. I felt like I'd finally found my family again, but one thing that sat on my mind was why did Kyra think me and mollie had sex?

"Mol, can I speak to you?" I ask
Kyra smiles softly and walks towards alessia. "Have you told people we slept together?" I ask
I see as her face drops. "I'm sorry, it was only meant to be to Kyra as a funny joke and it got out of hand"
"Mol I'm - I'm in a relationship and now my girlfriend, well she's not my girlfriend but she thinks I'm lying to her" I say
"And well I told her I was a virgin when I met her. And she was the first person I had sex with, because she was" I state
"I'm sorry" she says
"Sorry not good enough mol" I say
I walk off and find Leah. She looked annoyed, I leave her and walk behind with Lia and Teyah.

"What's going on with you two?" Lia asks me
"Nothing" I sigh
"Don't lie" Teyah says
"It's just complicated" I say
"Whatever it is, if it's worth the fight out in the effort. If you love that girl you wouldn't just give up okay" Lia says
"Sometimes it's good to give each other space too" she adds
I nod my head.

We all get ready and get onto the bus. It was a long journey back to London, especially when all you could hear was Kyra yapping. "Kyra just shut the fuck up!" I say loudly and sounding incredibly annoyed. Everyone shuts up and Kyra says "sorry that you've got relationship problems no need to be in a mood!"
I sigh and say "I'm not in a mood Kyra, but I'm tryna sleep and all you do is speak"
"I'm telling you something important about Courtney" she states
"It's always about her!" I complain
I stand up and make my way to the toilet. I don't even use it I just wash my face with some water and tie my hair into a bun. I sigh and walk out the bathroom. I see Caitlin now sat in my space. I turn round and see an empty space next to Steph,

I sit down and lean my head on her. Beth and Leah were opposite but right now I just needed my best friend. "How you feeling?" Steph asks me. "I feel ill, like really bad. I dunno, it's just, probably me" I say
"Have you had your travel sickness tablets?" Steph asks me
I nod my head
"I just need some sleep" I complain and Steph hugs me. I feel myself drift to sleep.

I wake up and we are all still on the bus, it was now dark. I sit up from Steph and see Leah on her phone and Beth speaking to Steph. I pick up my phone and see a message.

Evan:
That debut was impressive

Me:
Thanks Evan

Evan:
Did you see mollie?

Me:
Yeah but we didn't really speak on good terms, she told everyone I'd slept with her. I hadn't

Evan:
That's a bit shit

Me:
Yep

Evan:
I miss you

Me:
I miss you more than anything, I feel like shit and I really wanna come home

Evan:
Nothings stopping you

Me:
My job is ev

Evan:
Your manager just walked out you sure you have a job!

Me:
Yes and he walked out because I made him

Evan:
Okay what?

Me:
It's a long story

Evan:
Tell me

Me:
The next time I see you

Evan:
You're so annoying!

Me:
Says you ev!

I put my phone down and rest my head on the table. "How do you feel?" Steph asks me
I whisper "like my periods gonna start"
Steph nods and discreetly passes me a tampon, I go into the bathroom and use it. I walk back out and sit down. I talk with Steph quietly for a bit. I smile and say "how long do we have?"
Leah answers "15 minutes"
I smile at her and say "you good?"
"Are you?" She asks me
"Yeah" I say
"Okay but we need to talk" she says
I understood why.

We get back home, even though the car journey was tense it still had somewhat a comforting feeling. We get inside and I sit on the sofa. "Look why'd you lie?" Leah asks me. "I didn't I promise. Mollie just told Kyra as some shit joke, and it just got out of hands I promise Leah you were my first everything, I promise" I say
She stand in front of me "are you serious?"
"Leah I'd never lie to you, because I love you so much that keeping something like that would be pathetic" I say
She grabs my hand making me stand up and connects our lips.

The passing days passed by in a blur, some training and another game against Manchester United but at boreham wood. It was 1-1.

This week it was back to Australia camp, but it was hard. For the first time I was leaving someone I actually loved behind, usually I would travel with my best friends. And I wouldn't really leave anyone behind. But I was leaving Leah. She drives me and Kyra to the airport. Kyra gets out the car and I kiss Leah a lot. "I love you" she says to me. "I love you too" I give her a final kiss before getting out the car and grabbing my bag. I lean into the window and kiss her. "Thanks" I say
"Have a safe trip and-" she says
"Message you once I get there. I promise I will" I say.
I say goodbye and then me and Kyra make our way to our flight.

After a long journey we finally touchdown in Australia. I see Sam waiting for me at the airport. I run up to her and Kyra gets it all on video, she puts it on her story saying 'the only time she's allowed to be this happy seeing the enemy'

Sam drives us to camp and we all get settled in, I message Leah but she would be asleep. This camp everything was in Australia so no more travelling for three more weeks. Well a tiny bit as we have to travel to Sydney and Melbourne. To play USA in Sydney and China in Melbourne.
