Y/n woke up early to meet Yeji at her dorm for breakfast, but he was deep in thought about how he would handle everything and what he would say about ignoring her for months.

As he got ready, his mind raced with various scenarios. He knew he needed to be honest but didn't want to hurt her feelings. The guilt of having distanced himself weighed heavily on him, and he wondered if he could explain his actions in a way that would make sense to her.

Arriving at Yeji's dorm, Y/n took a deep breath before knocking on the door. Moments later, Yeji opened it, a smile on her face, but he could see the lingering hurt in her eyes.

"Good morning, Y/n," she greeted, stepping aside to let him in.

"Good morning, Yeji," he replied, trying to match her smile.

They made their way to the kitchen, where Yeji had prepared a simple breakfast. As they sat down, an awkward silence settled between them. Y/n knew he had to break it.

"Yeji, I owe you an apology," he began, looking into her eyes. "I know I've been distant, and I'm really sorry for that. It's just... this season has been intense, and I needed to focus on my game."

Yeji nodded slowly, her expression softening. "I understand, Y/n. But it still hurt. I missed talking to you."

"I missed you too," he admitted. "I was so wrapped up in my own world that I didn't realize how much I was hurting you. I should have communicated better."

"Why didn't you?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

"I guess I thought I could handle everything on my own," he explained. "But I was wrong. I pushed away the people who cared about me the most. I'm really sorry, Yeji."

Yeji reached across the table and took his hand. "I appreciate you being honest with me. Let's just try to move forward from here, okay?"

Y/n nodded, feeling a weight lift off his shoulders. "Yeah, let's do that."

They spent the rest of the breakfast catching up, and by the end of it, the tension between them had eased. As Y/n left Yeji's dorm, he felt a sense of relief. One conversation down, one more to go.

Later that day, Y/n prepared himself for another difficult conversation, this time with Kazuha. He knew that mending things with her would be just as challenging, but he was determined to make things right.

Yeji leaned back in her chair, trying to maintain a facade of nonchalance. "So, Y/n, how's the season going?" she asked, her voice a little sharper than usual.

"It's been tough," he admitted. "But we're doing well. First seed in the KBL."

"That's good," she said, a bit too briskly. She stirred her tea absentmindedly, then glanced at him, her eyes softer. "I just wish you had let me be there for you."

Y/n sighed. "I know, Yeji. I thought distancing myself was the right thing to do, but I see now it wasn't."

"You really hurt me, you know?" She tried to sound stern, but her voice wavered.

"I know," Y/n said quietly. "And I'm so sorry for that."

There was a pause, then Yeji let out a small laugh. "It's hard to stay mad at you."

"Really?" Y/n asked, smiling.

"Yeah," she said, a genuine smile spreading across her face. "I guess I just like you too much."

"Thanks, Yeji. That means a lot to me," Y/n said, feeling the warmth of her words.

They continued talking, slowly rebuilding the connection they had before. Y/n felt a mixture of relief and guilt. He knew he had a lot to make up for, but he was ready to try.
