Y/n stood in his apartment, staring at the packed suitcases lined up by the door. The walls were bare, stripped of the posters, pictures, and memorabilia that had made this place feel like home. Now, it was just an empty space, a temporary stop on his journey. He took a deep breath, the reality of his impending departure sinking in. Today was the day he would leave Korea and join the Lakers full-time, embarking on a new chapter in his life.
As he zipped up the last suitcase, his phone buzzed with a flurry of messages. His teammates, friends, and family had all been sending their well-wishes. But the messages that stood out the most were from the Le Sserafim girls, especially Kazuha.
Kazuha-ssi: Good luck, Y/n. We'll miss you so much. Don't forget to visit us whenever you can. 💗
Pabo: I'll miss you too, Zuha. I'll visit whenever I get the chance, I promise.
Y/n's heart ached as he thought about leaving her behind. Over the past few months, their bond had grown stronger, transcending the initial awkwardness and uncertainty. They had shared laughter, tears, and countless memories, and now he was about to leave it all behind. The dating rumors had made things complicated, but they had managed to navigate through it with the help of their friends and understanding manager.
He picked up his phone and called Kazuha. She answered on the second ring.
"Hey," she said, her voice soft and tinged with sadness.
"Hey," he replied. "Just wanted to hear your voice before I leave."
Kazuha sighed. "I can't believe you're really going. It feels so... final."
"I know," Y/n said, trying to keep his own emotions in check. "But it's not goodbye forever. I'll come back, and we can video call all the time."
"It's not the same," Kazuha said quietly. "But I understand. This is a big opportunity for you, and I'm proud of you."
"Thank you, never let anyone make you sad okay? I don't wanna see your smiled faded in the news. I'll be your number one fan in US." Y/n said making Kazuha lost control of her tears.
"Bye, Y/N. I know video calls are not the same but call me everytime you can." Kazuha said and hunged up.
He sighed and grabbed his jacket. As he was about to leave, his phone buzzed again. This time, it was a call from his manager.
"Hey, Y/N. Everything set for the move?" his manager asked.
"Yeah, just about to head out. It feels weird, you know? Leaving all of this behind," Y/N replied, glancing around the now-empty apartment.
"I can imagine. But this is a huge step for your career. The Lakers are excited to have you," his manager said reassuringly.
Y/N nodded, even though his manager couldn't see it. "I know. I'm ready for it."
He hung up and took one last look around. This place had been his sanctuary, but now it was time to move on.
At the Le Sserafim dorm, the girls were gathered in the living room, watching the clock. They knew Y/N's flight was soon, and the atmosphere was bittersweet. Kazuha was the most affected, her eyes glued to her phone, hoping for another message from Y/N.
"He's really leaving, huh?" Eunchae said, breaking the silence.
"Yeah, but he'll be back. He promised," Yunjin added, trying to stay positive.
Chaewon noticed Kazuha's somber expression and nudged her gently. "Hey, are you okay?"
Kazuha forced a smile. "I'm fine. Just... gonna miss him, that's all."
