As the days passed, Kazuha found herself increasingly depressed, convinced that Y/n liked Yeji. Her feelings for him were becoming a significant distraction, impacting her work with Le Sserafim. The group's recent performances had been underwhelming, and they were receiving a lot of criticism from fans. Unfortunately, Kazuha bore the brunt of the backlash due to her noticeable distraction.
She sat in the practice room, staring blankly at her reflection in the mirror as the rest of the members took a break. Her usual spark was missing, replaced by a heaviness that she couldn't shake off. Sakura noticed and sat down beside her.
"Kazuha, you've been off lately. Is everything okay?" Sakura asked gently.
Kazuha forced a smile, but it didn't reach her eyes. "I'm fine, unnie. Just a bit tired, that's all."
Sakura frowned, not convinced. "You've been 'tired' for days now. Is it about Y/n?"
Kazuha's eyes widened in surprise. "How did you...?"
"It's kind of obvious," Sakura said, giving her a sympathetic look. "You can talk to us, you know. We're here for you."
Kazuha sighed, feeling a lump form in her throat. "I just... I thought he might like me, but now it seems like he's more interested in Yeji. And I can't stop thinking about it. It's affecting everything."
Sakura nodded, understanding. "It's tough, I know. But you can't let it affect your work. We're a team, and we need you. Maybe you should talk to him, clear the air."
Kazuha nodded slowly, knowing Sakura was right but feeling apprehensive about the confrontation. "I'll try, unnie. Thank you."
Meanwhile, Y/n was also grappling with his own confusion. His feelings for Yeji seemed strong, but he couldn't ignore the special connection he had with Kazuha. He was torn, not wanting to hurt either of them.
As the weeks went by, the situation only grew more complicated. Kazuha's distraction became more apparent, and the pressure from fans intensified. The once tight-knit bond within Le Sserafim started to show cracks, with the other members growing increasingly frustrated with the negative attention.
One evening, after another grueling practice session, Kazuha sat alone in the studio, tears welling up in her eyes. She didn't hear the door open, but she felt a gentle hand on her shoulder. It was Chaewon.
"Kazuha, it's okay to feel like this," Chaewon said softly. "But you need to find a way to focus. We believe in you, and we need you to believe in yourself too."
Kazuha nodded, wiping away her tears. "I'll try, Chaewon. I'll try to be better."
Chaewon caressed her shoulder and showed Kazuha her phone. There were two missed calls from Y/n and four unread texts.
"Looks like someone's trying to reach you," Chaewon said gently, handing her the phone.
Kazuha hesitated before taking it. She glanced at the screen, feeling a mix of emotions. Part of her wanted to ignore the messages, to protect herself from further heartbreak, but another part of her needed to know what he had to say.
With a deep breath, she unlocked her phone and read the messages.
"Hey, Kazuha, can we talk?"
"I feel like something's off between us."
"I'm really worried about you."
"Please, just let me know you're okay."
Kazuha felt a lump form in her throat. She looked up at Chaewon, who nodded encouragingly.
