Chapter 51
*3rd person POV*
Puppets
It's the first thing they see as they got nearer Nightless City.
" What the- I thought this cursed beings would be gone as they don't have Yin Iron." Sizhui cursed under his breath.
" What are these?" Jin Zixuan asked.
" Puppets." Sizhui responded.
" Puppets? Wait like the..." Wuxian asked, remembering the memories he saw in the empathy.
" Yes, those puppets. But I don't know how they were able to control them. I mean they don't have the yin iron anymore." Sizhui wondered.
" Well do you know how we could deal with those creatures?" Jin Zixuan said, still confused on what the duo were talking about.
" Well I know how but it's dangerous." Sizhui said.
He really knows what to do, but with Jin Zixun here, he knows it'll just be a disaster.
" Just make sure you don't touch them. You'll be like them when they touch you." Sizhui warned.
They began to fight the puppets. The Jins didn't know what was happening but they still fight the creatures.
Sizhui looked at everyone and notice, the puppets are quite strong that they couldn't fight them.
He needs to do something.
" Baba, if you find the puppets not attacking you, don't mind them already. Lead the others to the Nightless City. Don't wait for me. I'll meet you there." Sizhui told his 'mother'.
" What will you do?" Wuxian strictly ask his son still fighting the puppets.
" Don't worry baba, I'll be safe. I know what I'm doing." 'hopefully' was left unsaid.
" Be safe." Wuxian said knowing that he can't convince his son.
" I will." Sizhui said leaving the area without the others knowing.
Soon, everyone heard a beautiful yet eerie tune. Every moving being in the area stopped. Everyone stood on their spot, terrified on the sound.
Wei Wu Xian, knowing that it is his son's doing, reached out to his husband told him they all need to leave.
" Let's leave." Lan Wangji said loudly so that the others could hear him.
" What's that sound?" Asked one of the Jin Disciple, terrified by the Melody of the song they're hearing.
" We don't know, so it's better to go to the Nightless City now before these puppets move again and attack us." Wei Wu Xian said out loud.
The others did as what the couple instructed at went to the Nightless City.
To their horror, there are more puppets there than they met on the road.
Just as they are about to fight the puppets, the others also reach the place and help them fight.
" Where is Sizhui?" The older Lan Xichen asked.
" We don't know Da-ge. He told me to come here and that he'll follow." Wuxian said guiltily.
" You met the puppets, didn't you?" He asked the younger.
" We did. That's why he went." Wuxian grumbled.
" Well thank your stubborn gene for that. He got that from the both of you." The older Lan Xichen said. He knows he can't do anything as his nephew is really stubborn like his parents.
