"Caitlin!!!"
"Anak ng..." Caitlin pressed her hand against her heaving chest, frightened by the loud voice that shouted into her ear in a sudden.
Isabel laughed at her cute reaction as she wrapped her arm around Caitlin's shoulders.
"Ano ba Bel! Ginulat mo naman ako eh" Caitlin pouted her lips.
"Magugulatin ka talaga." Bel teased her. "Alam mo, hindi pa ko nakakakita ng anak ng secretary na ganyang katulad mo." She brought her hand to Caitlin's face and tilted her chin up. "Dapat mukha kang confident at mayabang. Dapat alam nila dito kung sino ka. For sure, lahat ng nandito gusto ka nilang maging kaibigan."
Caitlin pulled her chin away from Bel's hand before letting out a deep sigh. "Ano namang maganda sa pagiging anak ng secretary ha Bel? I would rather stay low profile and avoid unnecessary attention." She paused and smiled at Bel. "Masaya na ako at Kontento na ikaw ang kaibigan ko. Good friend doesn't need a lot. One is enough."
Bel chuckled. "Alam mo, etong idea na to can still work kung hindi ka dumating dito sa school na sakay ng magarang sasakyan ng tatay mo. Kahit yung iba, hindi maghihinala kung sino ka pero alam parin nilang galing ka sa mayaman na pamilya. Alam mo ba, yung mga lalaki sa class ko, gusto kang ligawan."
"Anoo?" Caitlin asked in shocked. "Nakita nila ko kasama ko si Dad? Did They..." She held her tongue and decided not to ask whether she knows about the accident she had in front of the university and the boy that she met this morning. If Bel has heard about it, she would already ask her.
"Did they what?" Bel asked curiously.
"Ermm... I mean... Dapat pinigilan ko nalang yung driver namin" Caitlin said, diverting her attention.
"Hindi ko maintindihan bakit natatakot kang malaman nila kung sino ka. If you'll get more attention sa university natin its an advantage for a beautiful girl like us. For sure, hahabulin tayo ng boys, tapos maraming magseselos na babae because of that. Mageenjoy ka rin if maeexperience mo yung ganun." Bel said.
A deep sigh slowly escaped Caitlin's lips as she turned to look at Bel. "Alam mo Bel, wala naman special with this eh. If you are in my position, mas maiintindihan mo ko na mas gusto kong mabuhay ng normal lang."
"Fine! Oo na!." Bel held her hands up, a gesture of her giving in and will not continue with this topic anymore. Knowing her for three months, she understands what kind of person Cait is. Whenever Bel mentioned about her father, her mood will turned bad and an obvious sadness will be seen in her eyes. Although she never ask before but she could guess that her relationship with her father is not as good as what they read in the newspaper.
"San ka pupunta na niyan? Tapos na ba class mo?" Bel asked, changing the sensitive subject.
Caitlin shook her head. "Meron pa akong isang class later in the afternoon."
"Oh... I see, hindi na kita maantay ha, Magmovie date kami ng pinsan ko." Bel said.
"Okay." Caitlin smiled. "Enjoy kayo, Kita kits nalang bukas."
"Bye Cait! See you tomorrow." Bel waved at her before she left.
Caitlin watched her walking away as a soft smile slowly curled up onto her lips. She admired Bel's outgoing personality and how lively she is. Being her friends make her feel relax and comfortable. She is a very straightforward person and at the same time she is a very trustable friend too.
Shifted her gaze away from Bel, Caitlin turned around and began to make her way towards the library. As she passed by the School of Arts, a small figure behind the staircase suddenly caught her attention. She slowly walked over and her lips parted in shock when she saw a girl sitting on the floor, leaning herself against the wall of the building.
