It was already 7.30pm and the sky is getting dark by the time Bea finished the long and tiring meeting. She went back to her office and her exhausted mind felt so much better when she saw a parcel sitting on her table. It has finally arrived.

She threw the file on the tray as she quickly sat down and picked up the parcel and began to tear open the package. The smile on her face deepened the moment she saw the thing in the box. It was a pink colour child's analog watch with cute images printing on the strap and the body. As what her mother told her, 'Elsa' from a cartoon named 'Frozen' is Isabelle's favorite cartoon character now.

She felt her heart swell with satisfaction because this is the first time she chose a present for Isabelle herself. Although the price of this watch is not as expensive as the previous presents that her secretary chose in all those years, but at least this time she put in the effort to choose something she likes. She can't wait to see the happy smile on Isabelle's beautiful, angelic face.

What Caitlin said in the hospital two days ago was like a wake-up call to her. No matter how reluctant she was in this marriage, but it was still her choice to marry Caitlin and she has to be responsible to Isabelle. She is her daughter, her princess, her blood and flesh.

She gently put the watch back into the box and took her phone up from the table. She scrolled through the list of her contacts and stopped at a name that she hardly call, or to be exact, never call before. After a moment of hesitation, she finally decided to make the call... the first call.

"Isabelle, baby..."

Caitlin called out after her daughter as she stepped out from the kitchen and placed the dishes on the dining table. She looked up and saw Isabelle sitting on the couch, watching her favorite cartoon.

"Isabelle, baby, the dinner is ready. Turn the television off and come to eat first."

"Okay Mom!." Isabelle replied as she took the remote control to turn the television off before running towards the dining room and sat down in front of her mother. "Thank you Mommy!" She gave Caitlin a big, sweet smile as she took the spoon up and began to eat.

Caitlin narrowed her gaze and felt curious with her happy mood. Her little princess has an unusual good appetite today. "Baby, Did anything happen in the kindergarten today?"

Isabelle looked up at her mother and shook her head. "Nothing."

"But you look very happy." Caitlin asked again.

Another wide smile spread across Isabelle's chubby face before she replied. "Of course. Tomorrow is my birthday. Mommy is not working and Dada will come back to celebrate with us. This is the first time Dada come home for my birthday." But then, her smile suddenly faded as she looked at Caitlin with a worried gaze. "Mommy... Dada will come back, right? You didn't lie to me, right?"

Caitlin was taken aback by her question and didn't know what to say. To be honest, she is not very sure either. Will she really keep her promise and come back tomorrow? But recalled back to the certainty she saw in her eyes two days ago in the hospital, it make her feel at ease this time.

She smiled at Isabelle and nodded her head. "Don't worry baby, Dada will certainly come back for your birthday tomorrow. Dada already make her promise and she will keep her words."

"Yehey!" Isabelle screamed happily before she continued with her dinner.

And then, the sound of the phone ringing filled the dining room. When Caitlin took her phone up, she has to blink her eyes for several times to make sure she didn't see the name on the screen wrongly.
