Present day...
Apartment...
"Dada!" Isabelle ran to the door and threw her tiny body into her father's arms the moment she saw Bea entered the apartment.
Bea let go of her briefcase as she quickly catches her daughter and wrapped her tightly in her embrace. After a few seconds, she gently pulled Isabelle away and glanced down at her. She studied her face for a moment before a sigh of relief escaped her lips. Her beautiful eyes are not teary or swollen. It means she did not cry.
"Isabelle.. Baby, are you okay?" She asked to confirm.
Isabelle bit her tiny lip as she looked up at her father and shook her little head. "I'm worried about Mommy."
"What happened to Mommy?" She asked, trying not to show her worries. She remembered Isabelle told her on the phone just now that Caitlin has rushed to the hospital. But because she was too shocked at that time and wanted to rush back to her daughter, she didn't ask further. What happened to her?
"Why did she rush back to the hospital? She just leaves you alone at home?" She asked again.
"Caitlin is not you. She won't leave her 'family' at home 'alone'."
A woman's voice suddenly filled the room and startled Bea. She slowly looked up and the worried expression on her face immediately vanished and replaced by her usual coldness.
The woman who was now walking out from the kitchen is Caitlin's best friend, Isabel Molde. Even though they never actually speak to each other before, but she knows her existence. She was the one who always tagged along with Caitlin since their university time and also Caitlin's bridesmaid during their wedding.
Besides that, they had also met for a few times when she sent Jhoanna and Daniel to the hospital. Just by the sharp gazes they shared in all these years, they can clearly feel the dislike they have for each other.
Bel slowly walked to the living room as her eyes were fearfully staring straight at Bea. She stopped about three feet away from her, and with her arms crossed over her chest; a sarcastic and inward smile was curled up onto her lips.
When she heard Bea's voice and what she asked Isabelle in the kitchen just now, her blood started to boil and felt injustice for her best friend. She intentionally emphasized the word 'family' and 'alone' with a hint of sarcasm, hopefully she would get the meaning behind those sarcastic words.
"What are you doing in my house?" Bea asked, her tone and expression were as cold as ice.
What is she doing in her house? Good question.

"Thank you for coming. I'm so sorry to disturb you on your off day." Caitlin thanks and apologized at the same time the moment when Bel arrived.
"Ano ka ba!, do you still treat me as your best friend?" Bel glared at her playfully before she let out a sweet smile. "You can call me any time you want. I'll always stay by your side whenever you need me."
Caitlin wrapped her arms around her and hugged her tightly. "Thank you. I'll come back as soon as I can." She paused and pulled away before she continued. "I've prepared the dinner on the dining table. If you are hungry, eat together with Isabelle. You don't need to wait for me."
"Mommy..." Isabelle's gentle voice cut in as both Caitlin and Bel glanced down at her.
"We can't eat first. Dada is not back yet. We have to wait for her." She said again.
