Zermias, "Act like it? Nigga you out here flashing money! Never once broke bread with me unless we were in the streets! You helped Jake to elevate but where did you leave me?"
Zac, "Nigga I gave you a way out! You got a degree in Engineering but instead of applying for jobs or building equity to start your own! You decided to take all that knowledge and sell dope! Walking around here like you the king of the streets! Any king can get knock off the fucking thrown! Keep bullshittin you better keep your head on a swivel and take care of your family!"
Zac walked off from Zermias because if he stayed one more minute he was going to punch him in his shit!
He walked back to the waiting area and took a seat! Everything started to make sense now! He needed to remove Karen and all her drama from his life ASAP! He's never hated his brother! He just hated the lifestyle he chose! Granted they all used to be in the streets heavy but the older they got the more the shit started to get old! Deuce chose that life and they were cool with it but he would not tear down what they worked so hard to build! So it was time to wash their hands of the whole situation before shit got real!
Fatima was walking by and noticed Zac slouched over! She walked up to him and sat down!
Fatima, "Are you okay?"
Zac didn't even look up he just responded, "Family matters! A lot of bullshit just be uncalled for fr!"
Fatima, "Well I understand that but aren't you going to see your son!"
Zac, "You mean nephew?"
Fatima, "Now wait a minute! I thought you and Karen were together?"
Zac, "We were but she's also the wife of my brother and that was his baby she was carrying which makes me his uncle!"
Fatima's mouth flew open!
Zac, "Yeah I know it's a lot but hell I just found out so I am trying to process it the best way I know how!"
Fatima, "So how did all this come about? If you don't mind me asking!"
Zac, "Well back in the day we all used to run the streets, me, jake, and deuce! It was like we were attached at the hip! You didn't see one without the other type shit! We all decided to step back from that lifestyle and go to school! I took up Project Management with a concentration on Marketing, Jake took up Real Estate Management and Deuce took up Engineering! We had a plan to develop our company from the ground up together! Hell our parents supplied the seed money to open our business up! When we graduated Deuce had less time for us and fell back into his old ways! The Dope game became a part of him so as far as the business was concerned we cut all ties with him! We couldn't afford for our corporation to be tied to illegal activities! Personally he refused to engage in any form of communication with us until he found himself in a bind and needing legal counsel he couldn't afford! He was always in some shit and it required all of our parents to get his ass out each time! They're prominent members in the community and after a while stopped running to his aid! He became defensive and said we abandoned him when he needed us the most! I haven't seen his ass in 5 years! Now to find out him and Karen came together to blackmail me into claiming and financing a baby that's not mine it has me tight! They almost made me reach deep down and pull ICE out today! Those days are long gone for me and I would hate to have to step out of character but I will!"
