Cato:
The days that followed the games was a surreal blur. If I'm being honest I don't remember most of it. All I remember was being escorted out of the hovercraft and being knocked out. When I woke up all of my minor injuries were healed. An Avox came into my room and checked up on me. I had only one thought when it was over.

"Where is Clove, is she alright?"

She says nothing. I'm left there for a few hours and after that Brutus and Eno came to see me.

"How're you holding up?" He asked.

"I'm alright. Where's?"

"Clove?" Eno asked. I nod. "She's still unconscious. She too had some minor injuries that have been cured by she collapsed. I don't know if you know this but she wasn't really sleeping in the arena. I'm sure she's just taking a well needed rest."

"Oh. Why didn't she?"

"I think she didn't even know herself. It's the effect of the game. Luckily for you you'll be able to be released soon."

"You'll be able to get back to your real life." Brutus adds.

It's nothing if she's not alright. I needed to see her, why weren't they offering to take me to her?

"They don't want you two to see one another." Eno says. I snap my head up and smile. "They want your first view of one another to be televised. They're holding your victory interview till Clove's better. And from what I heard the boy from 12 isn't doing so well either. It'll probably be delayed for as long as possible."

"You're lucky for a speedy recovery." Brutus smiles. "But for now get some rest. I assure you that you will be the first to know when she wakes up."

"Thank you, both of you. I still can't believe we did it." The two of them share a look. "What?"

"That's the thing. President Snow is rather, angered with your act of defiance. Fortunately for you two, your careers, the punishment won't be so severe. I can't say the same for the two from 12." Eno says.

I lay down. "Huh, never thought the bain of my existence would play in my favor. First time for anything I guess."

Eno smiles, patting me on my back. "Feel better tough guy." She walks off and Brutus follows.

This is sick, just because we're from the richer districts means we shouldn't be punished as bad? We were as much involved as they were, in fact the whole thing was Clo's idea to start with. It's unfair. I lay down on the bed and stare at the ceiling. No matter how worried I was about what awaits me when we get home, nothing could compare to how worried I was about Clove.

CLOVE:
There's a sharp pain in my head as I sit up quickly. The room is all spinning as I try to get on my feet. I pull the IV out of my arm and grab hold of a random piece of plastic on the floor. I look around frantically, making my way towards the door. I'm almost there when several people come running in. Two grabs me on either ends and takes me back to the bed. I struggle in their arms as their grip tightens.

"Help!" I scream, not sure what's going on. I stab one of them with the plastic as another one takes the piece out of my hand and stabs a surgeon into my leg. Soon I feel faint as I finally see Eno, looking down at me with pure concern. Then I blackout.
