Rohan, trying to maintain his composure, said, "Aarav, that's enough."
Aisha, seizing the opportunity, added, "Don't talk about loutish people. Aarav, tell me something about your college."
Aarav eagerly shared some of his favorite college memories, recounting pranks with friends and unforgettable moments from campus life. As they laughed together, the car pulled up to the shop for Aisha's wedding dress.
Rohan interrupted their conversation, "Uhh, finally we arrived. Now I can be free from this boring conversation."
Aisha shot him a frustrated look, then opened the door and stepped out, walking ahead with Aarav. Rohan parked the car, smiling to himself and thinking, So, Miss Angry Bird likes to read fiction. Interesting...
As he caught up with them, Rohan couldn't help but feel intrigued by Aisha's fiery spirit and unexpected interests.
They arrived at the shop, and Aisha began searching for the perfect wedding dress. While she was still looking, Rohan spotted a dress he thought would suit her but knew she would reject it if he suggested it directly. Instead, he said, " what an ugly dress. I don't know who would wear this."
Hearing this and wanting to irritate Rohan, Aisha immediately responded, "I will take it. I won't even try it; I'll just take it."
Rohan smiled to himself, feeling victorious, though he hid his face from Aisha. "You really have a taste like you. UGLY!" he taunted.
Aisha shot back, "Oh really? Then why are you marrying this ugly duckling?"
For a moment, Rohan was at a loss for words. He quickly recovered and called out, "Aarav, let's look for my outfit now."
It was clear to everyone that, for the first time, Aisha had gained the upper hand. Aarav asked, "Did you get your outfit, Aisha?"
"Yes," she replied.
"Alright, that's nice. Now let's go find my brother's outfit," Aarav suggested.
Aisha shook her head. "You both carry on. I'll wait in the cafeteria."
Rohan, not wanting to lose control of the situation, decided to convince her with sarcasm and composure. "Oh, come on, Aisha," he said with a smirk. "We wouldn't want to miss your expert opinion on my outfit. After all, who better to judge than someone with your... unique taste?"
Aisha raised an eyebrow but stayed firm. "I think you'll manage just fine without me."
Rohan, keeping his tone light but insistent, continued, "But think about it. You wouldn't want me to end up looking as 'ugly' as you think you are on our wedding day, would you? Your input could save the day."
Aisha gave him a scrutinizing look, knowing he was trying to get under her skin. "Fine," she said reluctantly. "I'll come, but only because I don't trust your taste."
Rohan smiled, feeling another small victory. "Great. Let's get this over with, then."
Together, they headed towards the men's section..........
Rohan was trying on outfits, but Aisha remained expressionless, as if entirely uninterested. Suddenly, an outfit caught her eye, one that Rohan had not chosen for trial. Rohan noticed her gaze but chose not to comment.
Aarav, trying to keep the mood light, asked, "So, Aisha, which one do you think is the best?"
Aisha, maintaining her detached demeanor, replied, "Everything looks good. Take any of them, you suggest, Aarav."
Suddenly, Rohan interjected, "Leave it. I've already decided which one to take. Let's go."
Aisha and Aarav exchanged glances but didn't argue. "Alright," they said in unison, and they left the store.
They dropped Aisha at her home, and Rohan, with Aarav, headed back to their place. After arriving, Rohan took a hot water bath, letting the steam relax him. He sat on his bed, replaying the events of the day in his mind.
Despite the friction and Aisha's attempts to resist, he couldn't help but be intrigued by her. Her determination, her fiery spirit—it all made her stand out in a way he hadn't expected. As he lay back, Rohan found himself smiling at the thought of their next encounter, the battle between their wills becoming more interesting by the day............
The days passed without Aisha and Rohan exchanging a single word. Finally, the dreaded day arrived – their wedding day. Aisha looked stunning, her traditional attire accentuating her natural beauty. Her silk saree draped elegantly, adorned with intricate embroidery, and her long hair cascading in soft curls framed her face.
As Aisha walked down the aisle, her eyes fell upon Rohan, who was wearing the outfit she had admired in the store. She was taken aback, but she kept her composure, continuing her graceful stride. Rohan, upon seeing her, was momentarily speechless.
As she neared him, Rohan broke the silence with a smirk. "Wasn't expecting you to look this... uglyyyy," he teased.
Aisha, unfazed, retorted, "Really? You still have time to deny."
Rohan glanced at her, his expression unreadable. "Don't you think it's too late to deny now?"
Aisha shook her head, her resolve firm. "No, not at all. I think it's the perfect time."
Maintaining his composure, Rohan replied, "I would like to take this challenge – marrying an ugly duckling."
Aisha smirked, her eyes sparkling with determination. "Oh, you're going to regret it because I am going to make your life hell."
Rohan met her gaze, his tone playful yet confident. "Bring it on, babyy. I am always ready."
Aisha's frustration bubbled up. "Don't dare to call me baby."
