Chapter 9

After the meal, Mrs. Raichand suggested they head back as it was getting dark. Everyone agreed. This time, Rohan insisted on driving, hoping Aisha would sit in the front seat with him. However, his plan failed again, and Aarav ended up in the front seat.

When they reached home, Aisha said to Mrs. Raichand, "Aunty, I'll change and come to help you."

Mrs. Raichand replied, "No need, beta. You must be tired. You should rest. I've already instructed the cook on what to make."

Aisha nodded with a smile and went to her room, where Rohan was already taking a shower. She heard the shower running and decided to wait on the bed. While waiting, she started exploring Rohan's collection of books and was shocked to see that most of them were romantic and fantasy novels. She picked up one titled "Forbidden Desires."

Lost in the book, she didn't realize Rohan had come out of the shower. When she turned around to sit on the bed, she saw him standing behind her, dripping wet, wearing only a towel. She was momentarily speechless.

Rohan leaned towards her ear and whispered, "Nice choice, by the way. I didn't know you were into such books."

Aisha, confused and embarrassed, pushed him away. "What are you talking about?"

Rohan smirked, "The book you took is an erotic romance."

Aisha, flustered, replied, "I...I didn't know about its genre. I found the title interesting, that's all. And first, cover yourself with clothes before talking to me."

Rohan teased, "Why? Don't you enjoy looking at this body?"

Aisha retorted, "Are you getting dressed or not? Otherwise, I'll shift out of this room, and you'll have to explain to the family why."

Rohan chuckled, "Turn around. I'm already dressed."

Aisha sighed in relief and turned back to return the book to the shelf. Rohan said, "It's okay, you can read it."

"No, thanks," Aisha replied and went for her shower, leaving Rohan grinning at his small victory.
