Chapter 20

After breakfast, Aisha led Rohan to the car. He still looked skeptical but curious. Aisha got into the driver's seat and adjusted the mirrors and seatbelt. Rohan watched her, still amazed that she was so confident about driving.

"Ready?" she asked, smiling at him.

Rohan nodded, "Ready."

Aisha drove skillfully through the city, surprising Rohan with her driving skills. After a short drive, they arrived at a cozy café. Aisha parked the car and turned to Rohan. "Come on, let's go in."

As they entered the café, Aisha spotted her two best friends, Anika and Priya, sitting at a corner table, already waving at them. Anika was the first to stand up, her face lighting up with a big smile. Priya followed, her expression equally warm and welcoming.

"Aisha!" Anika exclaimed, giving her a tight hug. "Finally, you got the time to see us, huh?"

Priya joined in, hugging Aisha. "We missed you!"

Aisha turned to Rohan, introducing him. "Rohan, these are my best friends, Anika and Priya."

Rohan smiled, extending his hand. "Nice to meet you both."

Anika shook his hand enthusiastically. "We've heard a lot about you too, Rohan. It's great to finally meet you."

While shaking hands with Anika, Rohan said, "Hope so everything good!"

Priya nodded, giving Rohan a friendly smile. "Maybe, can't say that. You know, sis code."

Rohan nodded with a smile, and everyone had a giggle before sitting down at the table.

Anika leaned in towards Rohan, teasingly saying, "So, Rohan, how's married life treating you?"

Rohan chuckled, glancing at Aisha. "It's full of surprises," he said, squinting his eyes playfully at her.

Aisha rolled her eyes playfully. "You guys never leave a chance to make fun of me."

Priya added, "Oh, Aisha is definitely full of surprises. We've known her for years, and she still manages to keep us on our toes."

Anika said, "You know what, Rohan, we used to tease her, saying the person who marries her must have great patience and strength to live with her."

Aisha looked at them and said, "You guys never miss a chance to tease me," and everyone started laughing.

As they continued chatting and laughing, Rohan saw a different side of Aisha. She was more relaxed, more herself with her friends. He realized how much he wanted to be a part of this side of her life.

After spending a pleasant hour at the café, Anika and Priya finally said their goodbyes. Back in the car, Aisha looked at Rohan and said, "Do you know why I brought you to meet them today?"

Rohan, confused, said, "Ummmm!"

Aisha smiled and said, "They both are an important part of my life. I want you to know everything that is important to me."

Hearing this, Rohan felt happy and with a smile, he asked, "So am I going on that page of your important part, or do I still have to make some efforts?"

Aisha teasingly said, "Don't you think it's too early? Let's see your efforts first."

Rohan nodded with a smile and said, "Alright then, Miss Aisha Grewal, be ready for the upcoming surprises."

Aisha smiled and said, "Hmm, let's see then, Mr. Raichand."

They both arrived home. Aisha got out of the car and handed the keys to Rohan. "Off to you, Mr. Raichand, and thank you for giving some of your time from your busy schedule."

Rohan grabbed her hand and said, "By the way, I always have time for my wife, but I think she is too busy to spend some quality time with me."

Aisha came closer to him. As Rohan thought she was going to kiss him, he closed his eyes and let go of her hand. Aisha smiled, looking at him, and said, "Hmm, is that so?" Then she left quickly. When Rohan opened his eyes, he realized he was played again and thought to himself, "I will never fall for this trick again, wifey," and left for the office.
