After breakfast, everyone dispersed to their respective tasks. Aisha headed to the garden to get some fresh air and clear her mind. She sat on a bench, reflecting on the morning's events, determined not to let Rohan get the best of her.
Just as she started to relax, Rohan appeared, casually strolling towards her. He had a mischievous grin on his face.
"Aisha, enjoying the morning?" he asked, sitting next to her on the bench.
Aisha rolled her eyes. "What do you want, Rohan?"
Rohan leaned closer. "Just wanted to spend some quality time with my wife."
Aisha turned to face him, trying to keep her irritation in check. "Rohan, I know you enjoy teasing me, but I have things to do."
Rohan smirked and took out an envelope, holding it in front of Aisha. She looked at him with a questioning expression. "Just open it," he said.
Aisha took the envelope from his hand, eyeing him suspiciously. She opened it and smiled as she read the contents. Looking back at Rohan, she saw his expectant expression.
"Yes, you can continue to pursue your dreams," Rohan confirmed.
"But what about Aunty and Uncle? Will they allow it?" Aisha asked.
"I already told them about it. They have no problem," Rohan replied.
Aisha said, "Actually, you're not that bad."
Rohan's eyes widened. "Really? Miss Aisha Grewal is saying that?"
Aisha smiled. "Yes. If you want the compliment, take it. Otherwise, leave it."
Rohan quickly responded, "No, no, I'll take it."
His expression turned more serious. "Aisha, why do you always have to push me away? We're married now, whether we like it or not. We should at least try to get along."
Aisha sighed. "Rohan, I told you from the beginning, I never wanted this marriage. I had dreams, plans... and now I'm stuck here."
Rohan stood up and faced her, his tone softening. "I know, Aisha. But maybe we can find a way to make it work. We don't have to be enemies."
Aisha looked into his eyes, seeing a glimmer of sincerity. "Maybe, Rohan. But it's going to take time. So let's be friends and start fresh."
Rohan nodded. "I understand. Let's start small. How about we go out for dinner tonight? Just us."
Aisha hesitated, then nodded. "Alright, dinner. But that's it for now."
Rohan smiled. "Deal. I'll pick you up at 7."
