As they arrived home, Aisha noticed Aarav sitting on the couch, flipping through TV channels with a bored expression. She walked over and sat next to him, nudging him playfully.
"What's wrong with you, Aarav? You've become so distant these days," Aisha said, trying to get his attention.
Aarav made an exaggeratedly upset face and sighed. "You're always busy with your lout of a husband. We used to have so much fun together, but now you don't even have time for me."
Aisha felt a pang of guilt. She placed a comforting hand on Aarav's shoulder. "Oh, Aarav, it's not like that. You're my best friend here. Don't act like that with me."
Just then, Rohan, who had been standing nearby and overheard the conversation, felt a pang of jealousy when he heard Aisha call Aarav her best friend. Without saying a word, he turned and walked away, heading to his room.
Aisha watched him leave and then looked back at Aarav with a questioning expression. Aarav returned the look, shrugging his shoulders. Aisha shook her head. "Leave it. Your brother is very complicated to understand."
She then wrapped her arms around Aarav in a warm hug. "Don't ever feel like that again. You are my best friend first and then my brother-in-law. Anyway, tonight we both will have a movie night, okay?"
Aarav's face lit up with excitement. "Of course!"
"Okay then, I'm going to get changed. I'm a bit tired, so I'll take a rest for a while. But tonight, it's movie time," Aisha said, getting up from the couch.
Aarav grinned. "Alright, sounds like a plan!".....
In the room, Rohan loosened his tie, gritting his teeth. "Best friend, huh?" he muttered, throwing his coat on the bed and rolling up his sleeves. He sat on the couch and started furiously tapping on his phone.
Aisha entered the room and saw the mess. She picked up the coat from the bed and said, "What did you do to this room, Rohan?"
Rohan's eyes blazed with anger as he stood up and approached her. "What did I do to this room? Seriously, you're asking me that?" he said, his voice rising.
Aisha had never seen Rohan this furious before. She instinctively stepped back, but he kept advancing until she felt the cold, unyielding wall behind her. She was trapped.
"Seriously, you're asking me this?" Rohan repeated, slamming his hand against the wall beside her head, effectively caging her in.
Aisha's heart raced as she looked into his intense eyes. She could feel the heat radiating off him, his anger palpable. She struggled to find her voice. "Rohan... I... I didn't mean to upset you."
"Oh, really?" Rohan said, his eyes narrowing. "Best friend, huh?"
As Aisha realized what he was upset about, she burst into laughter. Rohan looked at her, confused and irritated. "Did I make a joke to you, Aisha?" he asked in a high voice.
"No, no," Aisha said, trying to control her laughter. "It's just hilarious that you're jealous of your own brother."
Rohan grabbed her chin and lifted it. "Yes, so what? You are mine, only mine. Only I have the right to be your best friend."
Aisha coughed to release the tension and looked away. "Hmm, let's clear the mess," she said in a serious tone.
"Seriously? Just 'hmm'?" Rohan said, his voice full of frustration.
"Rohan, I need some time. You can't force me like that."
"Oh, really? You need time for me, but with others, you make connections easily?"
Aisha pushed him away. "Rohan, behave."
Rohan grabbed her hand and started kissing her forcefully and passionately. Aisha struggled to get away, but Rohan was too strong for her. After trying to resist, she eventually surrendered. When Rohan noticed she was struggling to breathe, he released her. Aisha, breathing heavily, wiped her lips with the back of her hand and looked furiously at Rohan before storming out of the room.
