*SAM'S POV*
The song sadly came to end and I looked up to Kerry, smiling at him "Thank you.." I said, happier than I've ever been "Hey, it was worth the five bucks to see you this happy." He answered, my smile getting even bigger "I guess we better go find Leah, make sure she's okay." He told me "Good idea.. Hopefully, she found William." I replied "They might be in one of the back rooms sucking faces." Kerry told me as we walked out of the room "Should we split up and search for them?" I asked "Good idea, we can cover more ground that way." He answered and we split off into two different directions.
I headed all the way to the end of the hallway, hoping to find something useful. You know, this place was solid concrete and metal... I guess I should've realized there wouldn't be a cell phone signal in here.. "Leah? .. William? .. You guys aren't doing anything not PG up here, are you..?" I asked, looking around before hearing a noise behind me. It sounded almost like a door was slammed shut. "Guys?" I called.. Nothing. I fumbled around in my jacket pocket and pulled out a taser that uncle Travis bought me.. Maybe I should listen to him and think about the purchase of a firearm..
I cautiously walked back around the corner and saw that there was no one there.. But, the main doors were shut. I ran over to them and tried to open them.. They wouldn't budge.. How did no one else hear this?? "S-Sam..!" I heard a voice behind me cry. I quickly turned around and saw Leah behind me.. Then I noticed her hands and dress "L-Leah, what happened?? Whose blood is that..??" I asked "I-It's William! H-He's dead, Sammy!" She answered in obvious distress "W-What..? Where is his body?? Did you see Kerry, he went that way to find you!" I told her. She shook her head, crying harder as I began to panic. D-Does this mean we're all possible targets..? Who would want to kill William besides..- No.. There's no way..
"S-Sam? .. W-What's wrong..?" Leah asked "We have to find Joey, Charlotte, Sidney and Ethan." I told her "J-Jess, too.." She added as I nodded in response.. How was I supposed to tell Leah about the events from this morning? "Let's split up, we have to find Kerry, he could be in trouble and I can't lose anyone else." Leah told me "No. We have to stick together." I replied "W-We can cover way more ground if we split up. I'll find Joey, you find Kerry.." She told me. At least she would be going back to the room full of people.. "Okay.. I'll find him." I assured her before we split up. Why did I have such a bad feeling about this..?
I was knocked out of my thoughts when the lights went out.. Well, this was just great.. Okay.. I just needed to find the back up generator. No big deal, right? Aside from the fact that there was a homicidal maniac on the loose! I clutched my taser tightly, walking down the hallway as quietly as humanly possible. So help me, if something jumped out of one of these doors.. Who am I kidding? I would probably just have a heart attack.. "K-Kerry..?" I nervously called, looking for any kind of movement I could find.. That's when I noticed something coming out from under one of the doors.. "What the..?" I asked myself.. Was there a leak in the lines?
I walked over to the closet and, the closer I got.. I realized that it wasn't water.. It was blood.. Nothing could've prepared me for what was behind that door.. I looked inside and saw the bodies of several people.. Throats slit.. Tongues cut out.. Eyes missing.. H-How long had these people been here..? I noticed that there weren't nearly as many people as had said that they were coming.. I saw something out of the corner of my eye and quickly shined my flashlight towards the end of the hall. There it stood.. A masked figure standing there with a knife.. It was obvious that was who had killed these people.. Probably William, too..
I screamed and started running back down the hallway, heading straight to the front door, trying my hardest to push it open "C-C'mon, you bastard! Open!" I screamed, but it didn't budge at all.. What the..? I looked closely and noticed that the doors had been welded shut "Shit!" I screamed, kicking it before seeing the figure back again. I shined my light directly in its eyes before hurrying down a random hallway, pushing open a random door and letting it slam back, but I ran and hid in the bathroom, making sure that door didn't make any noise. I hid inside a stall and covered my mouth, trying to keep my cries as quiet as possible.. Please don't let it find me in here..
