"ashlynn?" apple's voice makes me lift my head from dante's shoulder.
here she goes..
"you and hunter are.. are dating?" she stammers. "b-b-but you're a royal. and he's a rebel!"
sparrow interrupts, playing his guitar. "totally awkward, oh!" he slides away. i glare at him. as he pass me, i smack the back of his head. "ow! what was that for y/n?!"
"there's a time and a place, sparrow. and clearly, it wasn't now." i snap. he backs away. i take a deep breath when he's no longer in my line of sight.
despite apple being apple, hunter and ashlynn smile at each other, walking away from her.
"remind me not to make you mad anytime soon." dante mutters to me, chuckling.
i smile up at him. "well, don't be like sparrow, and you should be alright, pretty boy."
dante smiles. "you think i'm pretty?"
i smack his shoulder, despite the heat growing on my face. "oh, hush."

later on, i was getting ready to go to the enchanted lake when a knock on my door stops me. when i open it, there stands blondie with her mic, and dexter holding her mirror pad.
"hi guys," i greet.
"hi y/n!" blondie begins. "would you mind giving your opinion on hunter and ashlynn's relationship for the mirror cast?"
"uh.. sure."
"perfect!" she squeals.
after setting everything up, blondie has me sitting on my bed for my recording. dexter give me a thumbs up when it's time for me to speak.
"i think it's enchanting that ash and hunter are together. even if royals and rebels don't 'mix', that doesn't mean that they don't belong together. as long at they're happy, i really don't care."
blondie and dexter finish recording, thank me, then leave. before i leave my dorm, i turn on my mirror pad and tune in to the other reactions. specifically raven and apple's.
"i think it's hexcellent." raven says, smiling. apple can be seen flopping onto her bed, practically sobbing. raven side eyes her before focusing back to the camera. "ashlynn and hunter decided to rewrite their destinies. what's wrong with that?"
apple whines loudly, kicking her feet against the bed.
it startles raven, causing her to look back at her royal roommate.
cerise is next. "i feel for them," she says, biting into her chicken leg. sparrow enters the frame. "i mean, keeping secrets is hard."
when sparrow tries to reach for her food, she growls at him, scaring him off.
that's what he gets.
the mirror cast cuts to daring, leaning on his sword and carrying a shield. "a royal and rebel? they're from two different worlds."
legend, daring's dragon roars and blows fire at him, daring blocks it with his shield. he throws it to the ground once legend stops. "i am trying to do an interview here!" legend whimpers.
dante appears on my screen next, walking out of heroics 101.
"what's so wrong about ashlynn and hunter being together? it doesn't effect any of us, or any of our stories, so what's really the big deal?" he smiles. "besides, you can't exactly help who you fall in love with, royal or rebel."
i blush, smiling softly at his words.
then the screen cuts to apple, who was sitting near her bed. here we go.
"i'm worried about ashlynn and hunter. if they don't follow their destinies, their books could close.. forever."
a sigh escapes me. i truly think highly of apple, but she needed to realize that not every destiny is a good one and people didn't want to follow them. and more importantly, she needed to learn that not everything is going to they way it's planned.
i pick up my dance shoes and leave my dorm, ready to dance my troubles away in the enchanted forest.
