Phewwwww!
I never thought I'd finish this story, but here I am.
Firstly, I am very sorry for this ending, lol. Yes, it was always intended to end this way. I planned this three (!) years ago, and while I think it could go on much longer and get fleshed out so much more, that is something I will most likely not do.
I have stopped writing fanfiction when I realized I wanted to focus on original stories, and that is what I've been up to. But Elora Van Eck has simply never left my mind. I have recently finished writing the first draft of an original fantasy novel, and I must say, going back to writing fan fiction, even just a few chapters, was a breath of fresh air. I really did need that.
Thank you all for reading! And most of all, thank you to my dearest readers who stuck with me, even when I hadn't updated for months, then discontinued the story, undid it, and am now back with the last few chapters. Your patience is power, and I am envious.
Elora Van Eck has come to an end. At last.
