Chapter 8 : Parents got to know

Aadarsh's POV :

After our conversation, I came back to home. I was not sure what to do now. I started to like her. I wanted to know her more. But what's the reason she told like that ? 

Is she being forced for marriage ?

Is she not happy ? 

Does she have boyfriend ? Is she giving these reasons to be with her boyfriend ?

So many questions .... but no answer.

I came back and just went to my room. I didn't know how to tell my parents about this. I slept thinking of all things that happened.

--- Next morning --- 

I got up and completed my morning routine, got ready for office. I wanted to have some discussion because my mind was going crazy. I went to dining table and saw my mother , father , siblings and Aakash were waiting for me. I don't know when Aakash came here. I was not in my right mind to think anything else now.

"Good morning everyone !" I wished and sat to eat breakfast.

"Good morning" came everyone's reply.

There was only sound of eating and cutlery....

"How was the meet ?" asked my mother finally.

"Umm... it was good" I replied.

"What happend Aadarsh? You don't sound good. Anything happend ?" this time my father asked.

I thought it's better to tell them. it'll clear my mind.

"Actually appa , yesterday Shivika told me something" I said.

"What did she tell ?" asked Akshay.

"She doesn't want to get married before she turns 25" I answered.

"What ?" said Keerthi and Aakash.

"Why ? Did she tell any reason?" asked my mother.

"I don't know amma , she just told that she wants to achieve something before getting married and she doesn't want to keep me waiting and I can say no. She would be fine with that" I answered.

They all were shocked hearing the reason. Obviously nobody would see this coming. 

"What did you reply her?" Aakash asked.

"I just told that I'll discuss with my parents and let her know. What should I do now? I mean  , I don't know ...... I'm confused" I answered.

"Aadarsh , talk with her once. May be she has not told you the real reason. What do you want ? I mean , do you like her ? are you willing to wait ?" Aakash asked.

"Hmmm ... Aakash is right. be clear on your side. May be meet her again or talk over phone. These things should not be forced on anyone. Do you think her parents know about this ? Should I talk with them ? " My mother said. 

"No amma , I'm not sure if her parents know because , they wouldn't send her profile without her knowledge na. May be they don't know she has said something like this. 

And about waiting for her then , I like her but I don't want to force her for anything. I want her full consent. If she wants to continue and marry after she turns 25 then I'm willing to wait. But what do you guys think ? I mean are you okay with that?" I asked my parents because their opinion is important.
