Chapter 9: Death Wish

"Don't you dare..." Usagi hissed venomously, her rage consuming her. "STAIN THIS PURE GIRL WITH YOUR FILTHY HANDS!"

As the leader began to reload his gun, Usagi leapt up before he could react, driving her foot between his legs. The strike to his testicles made him freeze, and she followed up with a swift, devastating punch to his face. The impact sent the man flying backward, paralyzed by the burning, excruciating pain.

The Spider King charged forward, its legs crashing down to strike her. Ryujin intervened, holding the Anomaly down with his axe, gripped in his remaining arm. However, his weakened state couldn't rival the formidable Spider King. It won the clash, striking through his defenses with a clean hit. Unrelenting, the Spider King unleashed a barrage of rapid strikes, sending Ryujin tumbling. He dug his axe into the ground to slow his descent.

Before he could recover, the Spider King ducked low, jaws snapping at Ryujin. He narrowly evaded each attempt, but the exhaustion allowed the Anomaly to land a smaller ball of web onto him. It spread on impact, causing him to curse as he was hurled to the ground, briefly restrained. His one arm struggled against the webs, rendering his time to break free insufficient as the Spider King prepared its assault.

Just as it opened its jaws wide, Usagi leapt up with Ruby on her back. She grabbed onto the Spider King, brutally slamming its head inches from Ryujin, pinning its upper jaw to the ground.

Ripping free from the web, Ryujin rebalanced. He noticed the chains within Usagi's wounds, pulling her flesh together and sealing them shut.

"Hell yeah! Bite the fu- fricking curb!" Usagi smirked, quickly correcting herself. Her weakened strength held the Spider King down long enough for Ryujin to land a clean hit on one of its legs, eliciting a muffled screech.

The Spider King pushed free, launching another web ball at Ryujin. He slashed at it, returning it to sender, but it was a diversion. The Spider King moved its head, striking Ryujin with its leg, sending him tumbling. It pursued him relentlessly, their strikes and slashes clashing as they raced through the warehouse.

With his left arm and wing finally regrown, an idea sparked in Ryujin's mind. Countering the last hit, he took to the air before the Spider King could attack again. He unleashed a charged shot of fire onto its eyes, briefly blinding it. He followed with three heavy swings of his axe from different angles as he soared.

Before he could land the fourth hit, the Spider King pushed through the pain, catching Ryujin in its jaws. Its teeth sank deep, impaling him. His boiling blood gushed out, splattering inside its mouth. The searing pain was too much for the Spider King; it released Ryujin, flailing wildly.

Barely catching himself mid-air, Ryujin faced the Spider King's chaotic, rapid attacks. He endured hits that struck past his defenses, charging a ball of flames. The Spider King's high-pitched screams pierced the air, its agony clear. Even amidst his spinning, wounded state, Ryujin identified its weakness: its mouth where its tough, reinforced web armor was absent.

He waited for an opening, struggling to maintain his stance. The Spider King's high-pitched screams pierced the air, its attacks growing more erratic. Ryujin, bloodied and battered, prepared for one final strike, aiming for its vulnerable spot as he struggled to recover his stance.

His body trembled, every wound a testament to the fierce battle as he summoned the last of his strength to end the Spider King's rampage.

Meanwhile, the web ball rebounded from earlier exploded against the wall, unleashing dozens more Spider Anomalies. They skittered forward, converging on Usagi as she tended to Ruby's wounds. Ruby, weak but alert, noticed the approaching threat, her eyes widening with fear.
