"I'm glad you're all here." You sigh in relief when you heard the other platoon leaders' voice in your earpiece. It's only been three minutes since you've unleashed your full combat power, and now you're planning to assist Hoshina.
You glance at the hologram that appears in front of you, displaying a tactical map with red dots representing the Yoju. You watch as the number of red dots begins to dwindle with each passing second. The arrival of the platoon leaders has turned the tide, and together, you are making swift progress in annihilating the Yoju.
The red dots continue to decrease in number. The once-overwhelming swarm is now a scattering of enemies, their forces being methodically cut down by your coordinated efforts. You feel a renewed sense of determination, knowing that with every passing moment, the threat diminishes.
Your eyes scanned the area, there were debris everywhere as the buildings that once stood firm and tall in the Tachikawa base had now fall into pieces. Tapping your earpiece as you connect with the others, there were injured soldiers here and there and some of the soldiers had helped the ones in need, carrying them to a safer place.
"This is [Name]," you spoke when you heard a beep. "I'll back up Vice Captain Hoshina, will you guys be able to handle the remaining Yoju?" There were still lots of Yoju that are flying around the base, their squawking noises and their laser beams were a headache.
"We will be fine," Nakanoshima replied, her voice was muffled by the respiratory mask, you could hear guns firing and grunts from the soldiers around her. "Don't mind us and go." It was Ikaruga's voice, he was shouting orders at the orhers.
You nodded even though they wouldn't see you. With the use of your combat power, you spring yourself up with ease. The feeling of the warm breeze presses against your skin, and your hair violently flows behind you, getting tangled as you soar into the sky. As you ascend higher, the chaotic sounds of the battlefield below begin to fade, replaced by the steady roar of the air rushing past your ears.
It was all smoky because of the dust that filled the air when the building disintegrated into slivers, a consequence of the relentless assault. The constant attacks from the Yoju had stirred up a thick, choking cloud, mingling with the haze from the bullets fired into the fray. The air was thick with debris and the acrid scent of gunpowder, creating a suffocating atmosphere that made it difficult to breathe without the respiratory mask over your face.
"Hang in there, Hoshina."
. . .
"Vice captain!" Okonogi's scream reverberated in your ears, making you put your hand on your earpiece. You could hear the panic in her voice, she keeps calling for Hoshina and it got you worried.
What happened to him?
"Okonogi, what happened?" You buzz in, you were taking care of Yoju that surrounded the training ground as they keep coming at your way, making you be distracted because of it. "The Honju.. had a fortitude level of 9.0." Her voice shakes, you can feel her panicked.
Propelling yourself up in the air as you're almost at the training ground, pulling on the techniques of the spear to speed up neutralizing the Yoju. Spinning your spear in a wide arc as a powerful gust of wind was created that knocks off the Yoju.
"Fourth form: Cyclone Sweep." Watching as the Yoju's armor had been damaged with the cyclone attack, you immediately wasted no time and pierced your spear in each of their core.
"Okonogi, how far am I to Hoshina's location?" Your breathing was heavy as each step you took seemed to be weighing you down, like some weights were put on your feet making you slow your footsteps. "You're 5 minutes away from him." She replied in haste, staring at the blinking red dot which was you that was running towards the gate of the training ground.
