You brought your phone down on the cabinet next to the hospital bed, you just left him on read as you fidget on the blanket that covered half of your body while you wait for Dr. Akiyama and Dr. Mori. Your vision was still quite blurry, and there was a bandaged on your left eye and it was kind of uncomfortable to the feeling as there was a protective plastic eye shields taped over your eyes.

It had been three days since the kaiju no. 7's iris surgery on your left eye and LASIK surgery on your right eye. The days had passed in a haze of rest and minimal activity, as you allowed your body the time it needed to begin the healing process. Also, Dr. Akiyama had firmly stated for you to rest and made you ok bed rest for a whole week because he is skeptical that you'll be out there training and overusing your eyes again.

"Listen to me, [Name.] If you don't listen to our orders, I'm afraid we wouldn't be able to help you anymore." That was the warning Dr. Akiyama gave you before you undergone the surgery thre days ago, worry etch on his face but he was staring at you sternly, trying to make you remember his orders.

The door creaked open, and Dr. Akiyama stepped in, followed closely by Dr. Mori. They both wore reassuring smiles, their presence instantly calming your nerves. "How are you doing, [Name]?" Dr. Akiyama broke the silence, sitting down on a chair beside your bed as you shifted in your position.

"I'm doing well," you replied, trying to keep the nerves out of your voice. "My left eye is still a bit sensitive, and my right eye is adjusting, but it's manageable." You gesture your hands to your face, tilting your head as you speak.

Dr. Mori nodded, smiling at the information you've given them. She could see that your left eye had taken the full color of violet, since they had implanted the iris of no. 7 in them, it's only expected that that would be the resuls. "That's to be expected. Let's take a closer look, shall we?" You leaned back slightly as Dr. Mori began her examination.

She used a specialized light to inspect your left eye, she carefully remove the eye shield taped on your face and you could see she was in awe when he got face-to-face with your new colored eyes. She lifted the small flashlight and aimed it in your eyes, seeing any sort of reaction from you as her movements are precise and gentle. Dr. Akiyama, meanwhile, reviewed your charts and the data collected over the past few days.

"Your left eye is healing well," Dr. Mori said after a moment, lowering the light. "The iris from Kaiju No. 7 seems to be integrating nicely, though we'll continue to monitor for any signs of rejection or complications." You merely nodded at her words, closing your eyes as she taped the eye shield on your face, her touch was gentle.

Dr. Akiyama turned his attention to your right eye, where the LASIK surgery had been performed. "And your right eye, how does it feel? Any discomfort or changes in vision?" Dr. Mori moved away slightly from you, staring at her charts. You shook your head slightly. "No, the vision in my right eye has improved significantly. It's still a bit blurry at times, but it's getting better." You looked at your hand on your lap, remembering the sensation you had felt when you first woke up.

The same feeling when the retina of no. 7 was implanted in your eyes not so long ago.

"Excellent," Dr. Mori said, smiling softly at you. "That's a good sign. The blurriness should decrease as your eye continues to heal." You give them another nod, understanding her words.
