At Michael's house—Josslyn was at home trying to decide on a major when Jax came in. "Josslyn, what are you doing?" Jax asked as he sat down. "Trying to pick a major for college. I decided I didn't want to become a doctor." "What have you decided on?" "Nothing yet. Dad, are you staying in town?" "Yes, I'm here for good this time. I went to see your mother to try to get her out of jail." "Thanks for trying. I'm upset she ended up in jail because she didn't take over Sonny's business." "I tried to stop her," Jax replied. "It's not your fault; Mom thinks for herself," Josslyn said.
At ELQ Hotel—Monica Wake—Anna and Emma were talking. "So, are you staying?" "Yes, Mom is trying to come home. She's working in the hospital lab," Anna answered. "Yes, I called Robin. How about you?" Emma asked. "I've been studying medicine," Anna said.
Meanwhile, Alexis and Ned were talking. "I'm sorry about Monica, Jason, and Drew," Alexis said. "Thanks. Now that Jason's gone and Sonny may be involved in less violence, that would be nice," Ned replied. "How is Kristina?" "She's trying to heal from being shot by her father," Alexis replied as Sam approached. "Ned, have you planned Jason's funeral?" Sam asked. Tracy then came over. "No, you can if you want. He isn't a Quartermaine. After that accident, we lost him. He disgraced this family when he was alive. Danny is accepted into this family," Tracy said. "I understand you were hurt by how Jason treated you. I know Monica was," Sam said. "Yes, she was," Tracy answered.
AJ stepped forward in front of the guests. "I want to say a few words about my mother—she loved with her whole heart and fought for her loved ones. Now she's with Dad, Emily, Grandmother, and Grandfather. I will honor her wishes and keep this family legacy alive. I'll take care of her house that Alan gave her, and no enemies will come in thinking they owe her anything," AJ declared as Brooklyn approached singing a song.
