"Sometimes dreams hurt more than one could imagine."

Abhishek's eyes are filled with iciness. It is the kind of iciness Manisha had hoped to never experience and yet here she was. There was warmth in his eyes once, warmth so strong she felt herself melt just from looking at him.

But that all changed. Two weeks ago when a nosy reporter dug up her past and published a long and very detailed article about it. The article was a complete success. With Abhishek's status and the importance his company has to its economy, the success was expectable and yet it still didn't prepare her for the shit storm that followed.

People called her bad, greedy gold digger and yet nothing cut as deep as those who called her "Abhishek's biggest mistake". That is what really dug deep. A mistake. That is what Manisha was to society.

Abhishek was on manisha side at first. He told her not to listen to online haters and that they don't know her as well as he did. But then the calls began. Business calls with all his affiliates and they were all about one topic. Cancellation of their business relationship with him.

One by one they dropped him and with each business call the warmth in abhishek's eyes became less and less until it died out completely.

Abhishek lifts his gaze and sighs.

Abhi:-"I'm sorry, I really am, but I can't keep doing this."

Mani:-"What? Babu, w-what does this mean?"

Abhishek looks away.

Abhi:-"I made sure you would be living comfortably", he slides a pair of keys over the table, "I want you gone tomorrow."

Mani:-"Abhishek..."

Manisha jolt up, gasping for air. It hurts her heart so much that she have to hit her chest with her fist. A painful sob shakes through her, her ears are ringing loudly.

"Oh god no", she press out, curling into a small ball.

Mani:-Please make it stop. Please, it hurts so much.

She fall back down, feeling warmth brush her arm. Manisha force her eyes to open and gasp.

"Abhishek?" Her voice is quivering.

He is sleeping deeply, resting on his back and with his arms by his sides. His hair is ruffled from tossing and turning, his mouth is agape.

So it was...a dream? It was all a dream?

Mani:-"Oh god Babu", she press out, chasing the comfort of his warm body. She hold onto his arm tightly, soiling the sleeve of his pyjama with her tears, "my babu."

He is here. He is still here. He is here.

Manisha sob, convulsing in a shake as she squeeze herself even closer. She never want to let go again.

"___?"

Abhishek's sleepy voice forces her to lift her head. He looked tired at first but becomes visibly worried when he sees the state of her face.

Abhi:-" kya hua manu? Tum roo kyu rhi ho?" he gasps, flipping to his side to look at her better. He cups her cheek, working tirelessly to dry her tears.

Mani:-"abhi-abhishek", she stutter and sob loudly, "abhishek."

Abhi:-"Hey, mai yahi hu. Kya hogya, my jaan?"

Mani:-"Abhishek", she bury her face in his chest, shuddering in a sob.

Abhishek cradles her in his strong arms, rocking her bodies back and forth soothingly. He pets her hair, kissing the crown of her head over and over again.
