Soleil woke up a little close to midnight, feeling mild pain around the areas where she was tied by Childe's mischievous water tendrils.

"Ah, I'm hungry..."

She grunted as she forced herself to get up. She was back in her room, and she knew Childe had looked after her before returning to his business.

"Bastard..." Soleil huffed, but her cheeks flared red upon remembering the past few hours and his familiar body pressed against hers.

But it was time to get back to work. Soleil took out a bead projector, making it blink to life. Lights flickered in Soleil's eyes as she stared at the holographic window projected before her.

[Estimated time of completion: zero seconds. The 'shell' is now completed and ready for use.]

Soleil's eyes glimmered. The last piece of the puzzle has fallen into place. It was time.

Several more holograms appeared inside the room, dim lights appearing bright in the dark midnight hour. Soleil decided to have a decent meal as she watched the holograms, all of the live footage from the mechanical critters she sent to spy for her.

They were extremely advantageous in the past few weeks. That was how she observed the other camps in other islands and kept an eye on their movements.

But it didn't last long. One of her mechanical birds were spotted by Gorou, and they learned she was using them to spy on them. They sought to be rid of each and every one in their vicinity.

She watched one of the holograms, where a soldier in red was seen picking up the source of the footage. It was one of the mech crabs in Seirai–the last one remaining in fact.

Psshht!

The hologram disintegrated, causing Soleil to click her tongue. "That's a shame. I spent a lot of time making those," she muttered.

She drank juice from her cup, slightly scrunching her nose at the strong and spicy aftertaste. Did the soldiers seriously spike the fruit juice with fire water?!

"Snezhnayan alcoholics," Soleil grimaced, feeling her nose and throat burn up. Her eyes scanned the holograms idly until the screen at the corner of the room caught her eye.

"Oh...?"

Soleil approached. Projected on the screen was live footage from a mechanical bird perched by the shores near Shirikoro Peak. It spied the horizons, where a tiny boat was docking.

Soleil pinched the screen and zoomed closer, the pixelated view clearing up in seconds. The scholar's eyes widened, surprised at what she saw.

"There's no way he'd let her off this far. Unless..." Soleil trailed off. She placed her cup on the bedside table and left her tent, going into the tent that was the largest aside from hers.

"Tartaglia?" Soleil called as she walked in. There, she found the Harbinger seated on his bed, reading the papers and letters in hand.

He looked up at her, brows raised. "Soleil," he placed the letters down, "Do you need something?"

"No. I'm only going out for a bit. I thought you should know," Soleil said. "Haha. So you learned your lesson," Childe chuckled amusingly.

"Shut up," Soleil blushed. "Alright, I won't tease you. But why at this time of the night?" Childe asked confusingly.

"You're still awake and I'm not asking about it," Soleil pointed out.

"Touche," Childe smiled, "If want to know, I'm receiving sermons on paper for not responding back. Something must be done about the men and ships the Fatui sent."
