Jonathan Harker narrowed his eyes into slits, he was reigning in his temper and had iron control to avoid exploding in irritation. This was the first casualty they had since they lived in the lower portion of Argent Mountain, he worked hard to get his family the perfect spot and ensured they were surrounded by the Argent Trees. So his anger extended and he never forgot about Jared especially after the latter brought Ariadne outside and into this damnable location!
"I may be full of myself but I have credentials to prove that I never bluff" He retorted icily, drilling hot holes in Jared's skull. "Your deed will not be forgiven, you endangered my daughter"
Jared laughed on top of his lungs, his body was aching everywhere but he cracked a wide taunting grin and hollered. "And you never put anyone in danger? Are we sure you are innocent and your hands are stainless, sir? You act so holy and mighty all the time, you are so arrogant to believe you can control both humans and vampires just because you are wealthy"
Jonathan lifted the elegant silver and black cane he held in his left hand and pressed its tip on Jared's neck, "I was being merciful to you, lad, but now I might just make you join the rest of these dumb animals in here"
"Dumb animals?" Jared still tried talking through the pain and choking as the cane's tip pressed into his throat.
Those blue eyes of Lord Harker remained gleaming with ruthlessness and fire of anger. "Yes. Vampires, whatever variant they are differ nothing to me, they are all dumb animals to be eradicated. I will go far to hunt them myself and go dirty if it means ensuring my family's safety"
A malicious smile curved on Jared's lips, his eyes glinted with manic as if he knew something that Jonathan never shared with his children. "That's too bad because as of now, all your efforts to become the alpha are pointless. You still are the dumb animal, sir...Glory to the Goddess Above All!"
What?! How did he–
Jonathan felt excruciating pain in the back of his head, the surroundings suddenly became hazy and spinning. He turned around and saw Ivo Rino holding a baton stick overflowing with electricity, he grinned toothily as he watched Jonathan fall unconscious on the floor.

"I don't get paid enough for this! Man are we being overworked! Why don't we milk the Harkers for more money yeah? I don't think they'll mind since they are too focused on their delusions that vampires would come for them in this area" Ford Yano exclaimed loudly to his companions as they stood outside the gate, he was the secondary head of the Slayers and took charge whenever Ivo wasn't around.
They used to travel in other countries and areas, hunting different kinds of beasts but since their indefinite active contract with Jonathan Harker, they had solely been assigned to patrol the fortified walls and make sure no hostile beings get in. It was boring.
Ford Yano felt too good to be a lowly guard like this, no. This shouldn't be how he was supposed to be treated!
His second-in-command, Ximus was equally bored. He was the best in his batch and one of the two who accompanied Camus in town. "You're right, this whole area is surrounded by Argent Trees, and once burns down, it will turn to Mountain Ashes which are harmful to vampires and can cause them irritation," He huffed, scratching his leg, "Talk about being overly paranoid, who the hell would build their house in this area? I'd tell you our employers are loonies"
Ford Yano rolled his eyes at the stupidity and ignorance of their client, he turned away from the path between the woods and shifted his narrowed gaze to the youngest daughter who was left in the garden—it only added more to his annoyance that Evangeline knew NOTHING but to show off all the dresses she has in her closet every day! The youngest Harker would have delivered clothes, shoes, and accessories for her. And the one who owned a pet duck, another weirdo who talks to her pet as if she was being understood by it!
Why is Jonathan raising his daughters like this? Does he want them to become meek and brainless in the future? They knew nothing! He and his wife are spoiling them so much! We need to suffer by seeing their cringe behaviors every day. Ford leaned against the wall, he was already tired and wanted to get this damn over with–wanting to switch places already.
"Ford!" One of the slayers came running and looked scared, "Someone is coming!"

The lovely bun Evangeline puts her hair in loosened up and her yellow ribbon flew away, blown by the wind. "Oh come on!" There was no way she would lose it, this was no plain ribbon and it had been a personal favorite too. Left with no choice, Evangeline grumbled to herself as she went after her ribbon, reaching out for it.
She halted in midsteps and became rooted on the spot upon reaching the gate closer. Suddenly, the ribbon didn't matter anymore. "Ford?" Evangeline called the Slayer assigned outside.
"Miss Evangeline...r-run..." Ford was leaning against the thick metallic gates, scratched and heavily wounded. He squawked and didn't finish the rest of his sentence as the blade pierced through his torso.
Ximus and the other slayers guarding the estate were down on the ground while being feasted on by dirty blue fat caterpillars the size of a horse. There were two horse-sized caterpillars, leaving sticky suspicious trails behind them and when the slayers fell on it they got completely stuck. Some tried standing up but ended with their skin being taken off like scotch tape.
But between those vicious parasites stood a lanky man in dirty large sack-like clothes, he was sickly in color and probably close to his death. He only stood there watching the caterpillars take on the slayers without a problem. "They are not vampires so all your weapons and tactics are pointless, nothing you knew will work on me or them" He was about the insatiable caterpillars with disgusting features. "No hard feelings, mates, we shared memories of fighting side-by-side before but after I got in danger you didn't even try helping me and left me to be ravaged by those filthy spawns who massacred the Caravan." He shrugged, smiling like a maniac. "But I'd say it was a fantastic thing too, I never felt so...amazing"
Ximus was on the brink of an agonizing death, he recalled him, the fallen slayer he and Camus checked on last week. "H-how are you not dead–" But he was already being feasted on by the caterpillars.
Evangeline was tearing up, terror clawed on her legs and kept her rooted there to witness the agony and how the insatiable creatures gobbled up the Slayers. "...F-Ford...everyone...no"
"Ahhh, you must be Evangeline, the youngest and most beautiful among the sisters" The sickly man stated, he moved closer until he was leaning in the thick bars of the gate, sticking his face there. "We are here to settle some business with your family"
