Evangeline was screaming hysterically, crouching down and crawling to avoid dangerous projectiles or getting tangled in fights that would certainly mean her life's end. Good graciousness her stress was up by the roof already. Her dress was wrinkled and dirty, she broke the soles of the new shoes she had on that she required to abandon outside and–ARGH!!! There were so many things to stress about!
The disgusting mutated caterpillars and unhinged men broke through the doors of the mansion, it was hard for Evangeline to believe what her lilac eyes were seeing–their security being so easily taken down and killed! How?! Weren't they the best of the best?! How would they get out of this alive without enabled fighters?!
"Evie!!!" Raging in like a bull was Ariadne holding a short-length sword. Those fiery sunset eyes saw her youngest sister near the sofa. "I am coming! I'll save you!"
"No, are you kidding me?! Get out of here, Ari! This is not–AH!" Evangeline ducked down when a metal spear flew above her head piercing through a mutated caterpillar–its innards and bluish-green thick, sticky blood splattered on the wall and decorations. "EW!!!"
Grace followed Ariadne into the spacious living area, holding the curtains rod and using it to fend off anyone. She encased the fiery young woman's wrist with hers, "Young miss! We must get you and Evie to safety! This is an absolute order from your mother!"
"I can fight! I am sick of being seen as a weakling when I am capable of defending myself!" Ariadne carried on with her stubbornness, she saw another wounded servant down the carpeted floor inching away from a sneering deranged woman and she forcibly pulled her wrist from Grace's hold to go to the servant and help him.
Evangeline grabbed whatever her hands could grab and threw it at the hostile people who suddenly dared go mad and broke into their home. She jumped down the floor, crawled again, and dropped her mouth open in disbelief. "ARI WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Did her sister want to make Evangeline's stress level overflow? They were not supposed to join in the fray! It was always what their parents told them! Why was she so hardheaded?!
"I am unstoppable!" Ariadne could picture it already, she would make heads turn in awe and astonishment amidst this rampage. She was meant to be blazing, just like her eyes–fierce. "Take this!"
A grunt from the sallow woman towering over the fallen servant as Ariadne pierced the blade through her stomach, those clouded eyes stared at where she was stabbed.
Ariadne thought she made an impact and deepened the sword until it passed through the back. But her actions brought no applause or the gasps of amazement she expected to get from the surroundings. This got her confused, why wasn't she whimpering in pain or dying? Her eyes squinted, zeroing in on her opponent's neck–three abnormally large sets of puncture holes. Those didn't look like the usual vampire bites she read and were taught.
"Young Miss, run!" The wounded servant exclaimed, trying to push Ariadne away as a creepy grin plastered onto the hideous woman's face, and from the stab made in the stomach, a tearing sound of flesh could be heard.
Ariadne was too stunned, unable to take her eyes off the stab she made. The unhinged, sickly woman pulled the wound in her stomach wider unbothered and when she laughed, thick saliva dribbled out of her mouth. She should have died, this is not how it's supposed to be!
The sallow demented woman held Ariadne's arms, gripping tightly. "Take this..." She taunted, through the open wound in her stomach, several finger-sized parasitic blue caterpillars crawled.
"Go!!! These parasites keep them alive and control their mind!" The servant ignored his dislocated leg and pushed himself up to cover his young miss.
His agonizing scream echoed in the living room, shrill and evident in his howl that the parasitic blue caterpillars were not just hideous in appearance but deadly. It latched onto his back, drilling holes in the servant's skin, and used it to go inside his body, the sound of gulps and sucking could be heard.
