Alanis' mind was racing through the stock knowledge she had, perhaps there was something she came across related to this kind of situation.
'Vampires are damned beings in the guise of inhumane aesthetic to lure prey in, when everyone would be in black and gray clothes mourning, you'd expect them in loud colors and happy amidst the grief.' A scowl sculpted on her face at this not-helpful and negative thought, the whole mindset she had growing up about vampires was absurd.
What kind of vampires are these guys? Melbournes? I never heard of them.
She opened and closed her hands resting against her lap underneath the table, listening to Wisdom's straightforward declaration of ownership was a splash of cold fear above her head. "Then, what are your terms and conditions?" Alanis asked after seeing Ariadne sitting back down. Must maintain rationality. "What will you have us do?"
Kurtis finished the carbonara on his plate in one go and pointed the fork toward the short-haired brunette with a wink. "I like your spirit, Alanis! Already wanting to go to the exciting part, eh?!"
If she threw the bread knife at Kurtis' direction would that have a painful effect on him? This was the sudden thought that sprouted in Alanis' mind upon the teasing statement directed to her. She kept silent, not responding to him, and reigned in her composure.
"My brothers and I will take one of you to stay with us in our chambers and we will mark you. Added to this condition, you are not staying here for free, you will assume a position I'm going to give you in the hotel we own. We are at an equal ratio so it'll make sense to divide you to us" Wisdom explained without so much blink and discomfort, he then pointed a hand to himself. "My name is Wisdom, the first-born" He then gestured to the grinning amber-haired unhinged vampire. "This is second, Kurtis"
"Klaus" The temperamental and short-tempered third-born spoke with a visible eye roll. This was so freaking weird even for him, from the doorframe, standing and munching on a large capsicum was Zidane who was trying to hold back his laughter at the irritated look on his friend's face.
Clock was next, he didn't look that uneasy or bothered like Klaus. "Clock Melbourne, I'm the fourth-born"
"Amadeus," The youngest Melbourne declared, glancing at the sisters with a narrowed gaze.
The blue-haired first-born noble vampire expected the thick silence that came after their introduction and laying out of the conditions, Wisdom foresaw the ballistic reaction from the humans. "Any follow-up questions?" His hands crossed in front of him above the table.
"Perfect! Thank you for debriefing us, this makes it clearer!" Holly got up from her chair across from Wisdom, she was smiling from ear to ear and had an air of cheery enthusiasm surrounding her like sparkles. "Let us introduce ourselves then, although Alababy and Aribaby already seemed acquainted earlier with some of you, it'll still be best to make ourselves known properly and in chronological order!" She gave a short bow of her head, "Pleased to meet your acquaintance, I am the oldest sibling, Holly Rose Harker"
Alanis followed, also standing up to do a graceful short curtsy. "Alanis Diamond Harker,"
There was a rough exhale from Ariadne, she did not stand up and just crossed her arms over her chest. "Ariadne Euryale Harker"
"Arabella Odette Harker" She picked her pet from the floor to show them, "This is my pet Duckie" Duckie quacked loudly, eyeing each vampire sibling fearlessly.
Their youngest sibling did a flip of her shoulder-length hair with bangs, "Evangeline Valentine Harker" She declared with her chin held high.
"Not only in appearance but you got to admit, our names are too fabulous and beautiful for a bunch of pets, right, Wisdom?" Holly asked whimsically, giggling to herself as she addressed the first-born noble vampire without any sign of hesitation. "Am I going to be YOUR pet?" Her Fuschia pink eyes met those Topaz orbs directly without wavering.
