 "Good Morning, babies!"

"Oh my gosh, Holly not again! We haven't gotten baths yet don't come close–"

"Is it breakfast already?"

"My hair is so icky and oily, I need a thorough bath with petals and your specialized bath bombs, big sister"

The chattering voices in the room were what roused Alanis to also finally wake from her sleep, she belatedly noticed that she was lying on the same sofa Holly used to lie on last night. Did big sister carry me here when she woke up? Ugh, her body felt sore as she got up into a sitting position and pushed her hair away from her face. Evangeline wasn't the only one whose hair needed some serious washing and conditioner.

Alanis shifted her bleary gaze to the laughter and voices from her sisters in the bed–the cheesy morning greeting and showering of endearing hugs was a normal routine for their older sister back home. Holly would never miss holding their hands in the morning, squeezing it gently in reassurance.

"Good morning, beloved big sister" Alanis greeted, joining in on the laughter and complaints in bed with Duckie also quacking but having fun.

Ariadne was pouting in dismay when their second sister just laid over them, "Oh come on! We are all dirty and grimey! This is not fun!"

They continued and Holly paid no mind about them being disheveled, Alanis snickered as her gray eyes blazed with admiration towards their eldest then momentarily it traveled down to her hand missing a glove.

The things she will do for us...Alanis felt herself tearing up so she got up and pretended to be dusting off her dress. "I will go out to ask if we can at least get ourselves cleaned before doing whatever we will have to do today"

Arabella had asked to come with her due to concern and while it was greatly appreciated, Alanis gently refused and gave an absolute smile that it would be alright. The vampires' home was more imposing with its style and obvious show of wealth in the designs and material it was built from.

These vampires were not lowly savages for sure if she were to base it from their dwelling. While she walked in the carpeted corridor, Alanis' mind was already pedaling in haste digging stock knowledge from all the books she read that could at least help them stay alive and survive. Reading had been a hobby, a favorite one especially when she was bored–her thirst to know everything was insatiable. Since she and her sisters weren't allowed to leave, Alanis relied on books and study sessions heavily.

In the living area connected to the spacious kitchen and dining hall, Alanis found a large painting hanging on the wall–a group painting featuring the five vampires who lived here.

"What do you think? I'm the most handsome among my brothers, right?" A head of amber and playful voice popped near Alanis, she could see him from peripheral vision but chose not to acknowledge.

Alanis continued staring for seconds more before stepping away at a good distance and facing the vampire. "All vampires possessed inhuman aesthetics, that includes looks beyond comprehension"

His lips formed into an 'o' in fascination, "You are quite intriguing! I love your composure, it's delicious!"

A frown sculpted on Alanis' face, that sounded so perverse but she decided not to voice it out and went down to the reason for coming out here. "Apologies for being up this early," She gave a curt head nod. "I am Alanis by the way, I wanted to ask for me and my sisters if we could please use a bathroom to get ourselves cleaned up"

"A beautiful name befitting an erudite like you" The smile was not lost on his face when he forced the short-haired woman against the wall just below the huge painting, he placed both hands on her side, preventing any escape. "I'm Kurtis, very pleasure to know your acquaintance"
