Alanis yelled in horror and fell on the ground. "HOLLY!!!" She sobbed loudly.
Everything happened too quick, one moment her sister was talking and the next thing Holly was already snatched by the proboscis and gulped her inside the gargantuan ribbon worm on the wall. Then it started producing several large eggs from the other side of its body, cracking opened, abomination spawns gushed out with placentas still intact to their disgusting childlike bodies.
"Big sister! No!" Evangeline also cried, she wanted to get up badly but the ropes were too tight. Why'd she have to watch Holly get eaten?!
Their deal, they had a deal—this was part of the plan between them but Alanis couldn't bring herself to do it! She didn't want to leave with only four of them together. She went into a meltdown, crying hysterically. "There must be another way! I'm sorry I can't leave you!" Pushing off the ground, she went to Evangeline to free her sister. "Evie, go find Ari and Ara, all of you run fast as you can away from here!"
Evangeline was having none of this crap, "No! I'm not leaving anyone behind—we are sticking together! Isn't that we promised?!"
The freaky spawns came to attack them, Alanis slashed its throats furiously, not minding the splatter of its disgusting purplish blood on her face. Then she pulled Evangeline off the huge boulder.
"...Big sister" Evangeline suddenly called in a different tone, her lilac eyes were wide and she visibly paled, looking past her sister's shoulder. "F-Father..." She shakily pointed in a dark corner.
It was the most painful sight to see their father in a gruesome state of death, he was almost unrecognizable with how wrinkled his skin was from the lack of flesh and bones but the clothes he would wear was the giveaway.
Alanis didn't stop her tears, "Oh my god..."
"I have enough with this game, you are testing my patience" The honey-smooth feminine voice was deep and laced with irritation. "Your purpose is to make me attain the Supreme Beauty and Glory not vex me!" Ancient Sia's voice was like a surround sound echoing in the walls of the mausoleum.
A huge face contorted on the main body of the gargantuan ribbon warm stuck on the wall, it was a woman's face sculpted in anger. "You will never win against an Ancient!"
"Come on!" Alanis grabbed her sister's hand to bolt away from the high platform.
A fleshy limb sprouted out of the ground, harshly breaking their hold and looping around Evangeline's waist. "AAAHHH!!!" It suspended her in mid-air near the face which formed on the ribbon worm.
Alanis tripped on the ground, "No! Evie--" The Ancient's devilish spawns cornered her and began gnawing their sharp teeth everywhere on her body.
"Big sister!" Evangeline cried helplessly, she squirmed and thrashed in the tight hold of the fleshy limb.
Acidic green fire engulfed the fleshy limb on the ground, the Ancient Sia wasn't pleased at all. As the disgusting appendage finally let go, Evangeline was caught in the arms of the vampire she didn't expect to see again.
Amadeus stared at the beautiful human in his arms, "My Evie, I'm sorry" He held her close to his chest, letting out silent tears.
This took Evangeline by surprise but she welcomed the gesture, wrapping her arms around his neck. "You came back for me" Through teary eyes, she noticed a ghastly figure of a woman in white who was smiling at them and the woman waved before vanishing.
Back to Alanis' predicament, she was sure she would die slowly with how these abominations bite but there seemed to be an unseen twist and things suddenly turned in their favor.
