Ariadne was reaching her hand up in the air when she woke in the morning, usually her eldest sister would suddenly hold it and begin her routine of sappy, corny greeting. But today, Ariadne only had her hand up and no one was holding it. A frown etched on her face as she groggily got up, "Ugh" She never understood why she would sometimes wake up reaching out in the air, what was she trying to reach for?
The door to the guest room swung open, revealing a scowling Klaus. "Hey Spitfire, get up and eat your breakfast already we have a long day ahead of us" He leaned against the doorframe with his arms crossed. "Put something comfortable"
She was still adjusting her headspace and vision, "Uh, what? Does Wisdom have a new job for me?" After the heart-to-heart talk with her sisters, Ariadne made a mental promise to not do anything brash again that might endanger their lives.
Klaus walked forward, hands on hips. "No, Clock is going to teach you and your sisters about Earth-Below, afterwards I will teach you all the basics of fighting and how to use weapons, Alanis is excused though I don't know where Kurtis plans to take her today"
His statement made Ariadne's ears perked up, she was already energized and this was visible at the way her face rounded. "Are you serious?!"
"Why would I kid around?" Klaus deadpanned, grumbling. "Wisdom allowed it"
Her excitement took over, jumping out of bed and hugging Klaus, the blanket trailing off behind on the floor. "Yay! Thank you so much! I want to know how to use a crossbow properly!"
Klaus stiffened at the sudden display of affection, he wasn't sure whether to hold her back or not. "Spitfire, get a grip, why are you hugging me?"
"Oh, right, ew" Ariadne offhandedly said, realizing her actions, and pulled away, feeling the bloom of warmth on her cheeks.
A scoff from Klaus as he raised a brow, "Ew? Seriously? Are you indirectly saying I am ugly?"
"Duh, Zidane is more handsome than you!" She wanted to slap herself at the impulsive reply, didn't really think it through but this was new territory for her.
Klaus was quiet for a second, walking forward and pushing Ariadne onto the wall beside the bed, he was only centimeters from her face. "Yeah? I bet you're lying, a sheltered egg like you never had encounters with men before, I'm probably the best thing you laid your eyes on"
"Klaus! How conceited!" But Ariadne hated the beating of her heart at their proximity.
There was a loud exhale from behind, "It's too early for this, and really, Klaus? You of all our brothers? Kurtis would be understandable"
Looking past Klaus' broad shoulder, Ariadne saw Amadeus in casual white long-sleeves and black pants. His pale hair was unkempt but it didn't deter his good looks, if this vampire ever became Evangeline's boyfriend, Ariadne could picture them a perfect fit. Their youngest sister was a visual beauty while Amadeus was handsome–
Klaus's face blocked her view of the fifthborn Melbourne, "Are you ogling Deus?"
"HUH?!" She was roused out of thoughts, Ariadne roughly moved past him and stomped out of the room, "Whatever Klaus, that's hunger getting into you" She needed to get away otherwise the damn temperamental blonde would notice her pink cheeks.
Grumbling to himself, Klaus scowled and neared his brother who was still beside the doorframe. "What do you want now? Why aren't you holed up inside your chamber?"
Amusement played on his brother's face, "I am no social butterfly but I'm not a shut-in either, will you keep everyone busy today?" Amadeus pointed a thumb to where Ariadne disappeared.
