**Karachi, 7 PM**

Mahni arrived at the airport and was taken inside by her in-laws since Hafeez had already left immediately after the nikah.

Sania and Omar arrived at their new house and went inside with smiles on their faces, excited to start their new life together.

"This house is beautiful, Omar," Sania said, blushing and looking around.

[Sania's house has four spacious bedrooms, a living room, dining room, a beautiful garden with a swimming pool and swings.]

"Come on, let's go to our room and pray," Omar said, holding her hand as they headed to the bedroom. Omar and Sania entered their bedroom, where Omar helped Sania remove her jewelry. He then went to the bathroom to perform ablution. They prayed Maghrib and Isha together, had milk, dates, and chicken biryani for dinner, then wore their nightgowns and spent their first night as a married couple.

**Multan, 10 PM**

Mahni and her in-laws arrived at her new house, which was beautiful. They took her inside and led her to the bedroom before leaving, as Hafeez would soon return.

[Mahni's house has five spacious bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom and ample closet space, plus two extra rooms: one where the maid lives and the other is empty and dusty. The house also features a sleek, high-gloss kitchen, a grand living room with a soaring ceiling, a statement stone fireplace, floor-to-ceiling windows leading out to an expansive terrace, a dining room with a beautiful glass table that seats five, a library, a private area of Hafeez’s that no one dares to enter, and a beautiful garden with flowers, a swimming pool, and sitting areas.]

Mahni went to one of the rooms and sat down on the bed. The room was dark and everything in it was dark. It had a spacious closet but, surprisingly, it was Hafeez’s room. Mahni was about to leave when Hafeez came in with a cold expression.

"What are you doing here?" Hafeez asked.

"I… I came to the wrong room. I’ll leave now," Mahni said, but Hafeez held her hand.

"You’re the idiot who wants my parents' money, right? Fine, have it. You—" Hafeez said coldly. He dragged her downstairs to the maid’s side of the house, where there was an extra, dusty room.

"Let me go," Mahni pleaded, feeling pain as he gripped her hand tightly.

"Here," Hafeez said, throwing her to the ground of the room. He clapped his hands to call the maids. "She’s your new partner. She’s the new maid of this house. This is her room. No one should help her clean the dust—she’ll do it herself."

Hafeez then left.

"Welcome, ma’am. Mrs. Ramsha told us you’re Sir’s wife. Don’t worry, we won’t let you do anything. Also, you should rest. Don’t mind Sir; he is cold-hearted, that’s all," Halima said.

"T… th… thank you," Mahni said, standing up. She closed the door behind her, leaving the maids outside, and sat behind the door, crying a lot.

"Maa, you told me married life is sweet, and that’s why I’ve always dreamed of getting married. But today, I hate this word 'marriage.' It’s full of pain, Maa," Mahni cried until her eyes became swollen.

**Hafeez’s Room**

"How dare she sit in my room? Mom must have done this. Let me call her," Hafeez said, picking up his phone to call Mrs. Ramsha, but it was not reachable because it was already 12 AM. After finishing his freshening up, he turned off the light and went to bed.

**Assalamu Alaikum**

Chapter 7 isn’t very long because I wanted to briefly describe the two homes of the brides and then highlight the true nature of the rascal who married our dear Mahni, making her cry. Do you think her eyes will ever brighten again and that she’ll ever be happy?

Well, let’s see what happens next.

Love you guys a lot. Take care 💗

Allah Hafiz!
