The bodyguard and Halima rushed Mahni to the hospital.

The ride was a blur of sirens and rushed conversations. Mahni drifted in and out of consciousness, her thoughts disjointed and unclear. She remembered the garden, the flowers, and the sudden feeling of weakness... but nothing else made sense.

As they arrived at the hospital, the medical team sprang into action. Doctors and nurses surrounded Mahni, their faces masked and their hands gloved. The doctor who accompanied her explained the situation to the hospital staff, his words rapid and urgent.

"Scorpion sting, possible anaphylaxis, vital signs unstable...!"

The medical team nodded gravely and quickly got to work. They injected antivenom into Mahni's IV, administered oxygen, and closely monitored her vital signs.

Mahni's in-laws rushed to the hospital, their faces etched with worry. They waited anxiously outside the emergency room, praying for good news.

As the minutes ticked by, the medical team worked tirelessly to stabilize Mahni's condition. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the doctor emerged from the ER, his expression somber but hopeful.

"She's stable for now," he told Mahni's family. "But we need to keep her under close observation. The next 24 hours will be crucial."

Mahni's in-laws nodded, relief washing over them. Mrs. Ramsha suggested they call her parents to inform them.

"But who has her family's phone number?" Mrs. Ramsha asked.

"Who else would have it? She's a servant, after all," Javeria said.

"Javeria, stop it! Have some respect. At least show some mercy to this poor girl. Because of your son, this girl's life is in danger, and he isn't even picking up our calls," Akhtar said.

"Oh heavens, Ramsha. Because of you and that servant, my husband is saying I don't have respect," Javeria clapped her hands.

"I said shut up or leave this hospital now. I don't want to create a scene," Akhtar said.

"Wow, tell me, what's my fault that you don't love or like me the way you like Ramsha?" Javeria said with fake tears.

"Maa, please stop," Sadia said.

"Fine, I'll stop. But just wait and see. Once I have my son's trust again, I'll deal with all the lovers of Ramsha," Javeria said.

"Maa, here, I have her aunt's number. I took it from Mahni's phone. It's not locked, just swipe," Sadia said, giving her phone to her mom.

Mrs. Ramsha called the Sherwani family and informed them about their daughter's health.

**Karachi, 11:40 am**

Mrs. Hamida was having breakfast with her husband and daughter Zara when she received a call from an unknown number.
-------------------
"Assalamualaikum, am I speaking with Mrs. Sherwani?" an unfamiliar voice asked.
------------------
"Wa alaikum salam. Yes, you are. Who is this?" Mrs. Hamida asked.
-------------------
"It's me, Ramsha, Mahnoor's stepmother-in-law," Mrs. Ramsha said.
-------------------
"Oh, ma'am, how are you? How's my daughter? Is she fine?" Mrs. Hamida kept asking questions, but Mrs. Ramsha interrupted.
-------------------
"Well, actually, Mahnoor was stung by a scorpion this morning in the garden, so we decided to inform you," Mrs. Ramsha said.
-------------------
"Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raj'un! Noori! *She burst into tears* Tell me, is she okay? Did she have a panic attack, or is she... no more?" Mrs. Hamida asked, hearing silence.
-------------------
"No, nothing of that sort. The doctors said she's stable now. They're just going to put her under observation for 24 hours," Mrs. Ramsha said.
-------------------
"If you don't mind, we're coming over to visit her," Mrs. Hamida said.
-------------------
"Of course, you're welcome. Ma-assalam," Mrs. Ramsha said.
-------------------
"Okay, we'll come today," Mrs. Hamida said and hung up.

Mrs. Hamida informed the whole family about Mahnoor's health. Mr. Ali decided to book their flight tickets to Multan. Zara rushed to her room and called Omar, informing him about Mahnoor's health. Omar and Sania immediately arrived at the Sherwani house, and they all headed to the airport to visit their sister/best friend/daughter.

**Multan, 8:25 pm**

Mahnoor's family arrived at the hospital, but to their surprise, they found their little princess still unconscious on the hospital bed. Iman was crying when she saw her best friend in that state.

"Aunty, tell me, will Noor get well?" Iman asked Mrs. Ramsha.

"Yes, my dear, she's out of danger. Hamida, please sit down and rest. She hasn't woken up yet," Ramsha said, holding Hamida's hand and leading her to a chair.

**Two days later...**

Mahni was out of danger and just opened her eyes today since the day the scorpion stung her. Her eyes were blurry. As she opened them again, she saw her mom close to her.

"M... m... maa!" Mahni said, trying to sit up to hug her mom, but Mrs. Hamida stopped her, telling her to rest.

"But where am I? And you guys came without telling me," Mahni said with a pout.

"Actually..." Hamida explained all that had happened, including the scorpion sting, and that she had been unconscious for two days. Mahni remembered the garden she was watering and the dizziness she felt.

Mahni was so happy to see her family. She looked around and asked, "Bhai, where's Sania bhabhi?"

"Here I am. I brought some roti for you. The doctor said you felt dizzy because of a lack of energy and not eating well. Tell me, why aren't you eating?" Sania asked.

"Mrs. Ramsha, if you don't mind, we'd like to take Noori with us to Karachi until she fully recovers and agrees to come back to Multan," Mrs. Hamida requested.

"W... what? But Hafeez isn't home. He's not even in town. How do you expect us to give permission? You know Hafeez's attitude," Mrs. Ramsha said, but Akhtar cut in.

"Mahni, dear, do you want to go to Karachi? Be honest. If you want to, then you can go. I don't see any reason to ask Hafeez's permission. After all, he doesn't accept you as his wife," Akhtar said.

"Thank you, paa. *Smiling, she looked at her mom* Maa, when will I be discharged? I really want to go. I'm tired," Mahni said.

"Calm down. You'll be discharged tomorrow morning. Omar, get our tickets ready. We're going to Karachi tomorrow as soon as Noori is discharged. Sania, you and Iman should go and get her luggage from her house," Mrs. Hamida said.

"Don't worry, aunty," Iman smiled.

Aliyah and Iman hugged Mahni tightly, happy she's coming back home with them. Aliyah immediately called Saif and informed him to throw a welcome party for Mahni because it's been a long time since they all saw her. She also called Jamal, Kabir, and Sana to help with anything Saif needed.
