Seonhwa's POV
"I'm not marrying you!"
I kick the one who held me on the shin and run as hard as I can to the door, my heels are absolutely killing me. Three of EN Princes start chasing me, the one who I kicked scream in pain, I feel bad because he looks sweet and not hurting me, but I gotta do what I have to do.
Earlier I recognize the Zyob's Prince voice. It really is Jaehyun. Prince Heeseung didn't lie. Jaehyun did. And as now I don't really care of how is Jaehyun gonna handle the rest of them, I need to go away and find Mother.
"Shit!" When I got out, guards are at the gate and the drawbridge is being raised so I can't get out of this place. The only option in the garden, I can hide there until the situation is clear. Mother might be safe for a while and will go home.
"Guards! Search for Yoo Seonhwa, don't hurt her and don't lose her. Go!" As I hide behind the wall and peek to the entrance door, the three brothers intruct the guards to search for me. Oh how lucky.
"Seonhwa please don't make this hard," One of them yell, he has a thick australian accent. Kinda attractive if you ask me, but now is not the time and I need to hide quick.
I run to the garden cautiously so I won't make a sound. The garden almost looks like a maze, they will be having a hard time to search for me, but yet I will have a hard time to search for a way out.
"Oh come on." I grunt and walk around following the path.
There's a guard here and I quickly crouch down and hid under the big bushes. My dress are completely ruined after this, sorry Mom. He dashes down the path where I was before, after seeing that I'm not here, he scurries away to a different part of the maze.
I release the breath that I unknowingly held and get out of the bush. "Where do I go now?"
There are three paths in front of me, I was an indecisive person, I rarely trust my guts.
"Fuck it, I'm going middle" I took the middle path, slowing down my pace as I see the surrounding are clear, there are no guards, no princes.
Except when I suddenly was being pulled by someone, I scream and thrash around.
"Let me go!"
"Seonhwa, stop moving! It's me, Jaehyun!" He yells in a hush tone.
Once he makes sure no one else is around, he pulls me to a hug. I would've melt into the hug if I didn't know he lied to me after all this time. I push him away harshly. He doesn't wear his mask. He looks at me worryingly but there's a tint of sadness because I pushed him.
"Are you okay, Love?" I scoff at his words.
"Why are you here, Jaehyun?" He looks taken aback at my words, he moves forward reaching for my arm, but I take a step back.
"I.. am here for you, Seonhwa. What else?" He stammers.
"I didn't call out your name, I don't need your help." That came off harsh, but I am so mad at Jaehyun right now, he knows I never like someone who lie. Yet, he lies, the only one I can trust with my feelings beside Mother.
He frowns, "Explain to me."
"Explain what? What is there I have to explain? What matters is-"
"What matters is I need to know the truth!"
"You know very well I hate liars, and you're starting to make me hate you."
He take a deep breaths and walk forward, stopping when I held out a hand.
"I'm sorry.. I am not being very honest with you. I.. am Lee Jaehyun, or everyone knows me as Lee Hyunjae. Prince of Zyob Kingdom. I'm sorry, Seonhwa, I never meant to make things complicated like this."
"But you did. After all this time, Jaehyun. You lied.. Why did you do it? Was the love between us a part of this lie as well?" Tears starting to fall, I'm still holding myself back, not wanting to lash out.
"No! Our love was never a lie. I'm so sorry I had to lie, I don't exactly have any reason to hide our relationship but I was wrong and I regret it."
He take both of my hands and kneel down. "Forgive me, Seonhwa.."
I break down, at this point I don't care if the guards or the Princes caught us.
"I can't.. I don't forgive liars, Hyunjae."
"Don't call me by that name, please, Seonhwa-"
"No, I'm sorry.. but this had to end," He stands up and shake his head in denial.
"Give me another chance, I will make it right-"
"You heard her Lee, she won't forgive you. Stay away from her now that you're not her boyfriend anymore. You never was." Suddenly Heeseung came into view, going out from his hiding place. And not just him, his brothers are here as well as the guards.
Hyunjae obviously looks furious at Prince Heeseung's appearance. But he can't do anything can he? It's the same as initiating a war between the two kingdoms if he hurts the Prince. And I can't talk back to Heeseung either as he did nothing but help me uncover the truth.
Hyunjae looks at me expectantly, hoping I will go with him. I'm in a dilemma, I can't go with Hyunjae, he's a liar, a big liar, but he loves me. On the other side, Prince Heeseung didn't lie to me, he speaks the truth, but I don't know what his motives are, and his brothers are in it too. I'm too scared, but I need to make up my mind now.
You know, I don't think marrying the Prince won't be that bad right?
